they are talkling about Gavin as if he is the next coming during his pro career the best in europe based on what an world championship gold medal
I just shook my head. He should do his job and hold the spit bucket and let the trainer instruct his fighter.
Aye It was more Byrne being terrible tonight than Horta being good. Fair play to Dean taking it but it was a bad idea he looked knackered after 4 rounds. Looked awful in the ring as well, like Bryn said earlier in the thread he showed a flash in a few rounds making me think right he will step it up now only for it to disappear. Horta just looked as bad but managed to keep pumping punches out, no matter how much Bunce is trying to cover up there was nothing good to take away from this fight.
Frank is going to have to get a bigger stable here if he is going to keep this card a week thing going.
i remembered a guy that brought some attention tontcho tonchev. silver medalist, lost to oscar delahoya. 130 odd amatuer fights. you could tell some promoter thought "im in the wonga if i sign him" what a shame he coudnt throw more than 10 punches a round. also peter richardson beat vernon forrest in barca, aba titles and wins over other good amatuers who later had successful pro careers. "so peter, want to become a world champion" a real shame. great left jab, and left hook off of it on th eoutside was fantastic but he couldnt back anybody up and wasnt physical to bully guys. great amatuer though.
