I'm going to stroke your ego. What's wrong with your Calderon piece? There's no flaws that I can see in it, top notch write up if you ask me. Few could have done it better. Why don't you like that one?
Nah, I like your work and you have a lot of stuff to teach me, so please proceed with another entry (obviously no homo)
There's a lot of unintentional overrating, when I say "modern great" I don't literally mean he's an ATG in general, I mean he's an ATG in the shithouses of - historically insignificant - divisions he resided in for the majority of his career. A lot of it - to me - looks like I'm purposefully blowing smoke up his arse(No Manilow) because I was writing something on him, when in fact I was just being inadvertently negligent. I also felt, because most of his fights tended to form a similar pattern, that there was no need to go into him on a fight by fight basis as I did. A lot of it is the same stuff except with a differen guy on the receiving end of a schooling. There's nothing wrong on the face of it I suppose, but I don't like it(or the other two) in comparison to Augustus and certain threads I've made that are similar to entries here. If somebody, intentionally or otherwise, gives me an idea I might run with it, but I'm really don't feel compelled to do one on any particular fighter at all.
Gaz? He hasn't done one yet has he? If you play your cards right I might treat you to a Valero post. :yep
No, but I was calling out to him as well as others that have actually done one ;-) Gaz's insight into 1980s fighters is one thing I really value him for, a Curry, Leonard or Witherspoon wouldn't go amiss :hey And Valero is certainly worthy of one. K.O record, always exciting, and dramatic life outside of the ring mean he'd be an interesting subject and a 'British Forum Encyclopedia' entry I'd read in an instant :good
And as I've said before Gaz, in the nicest possible way, it's probably because you're an older gentleman then the majority of the regular posting Brit' Forum faithful. I imagine churning out essays on an internet forum isn't the top of your priorities most days :good Leonard though Gaz, Ray :deal
I stress, in the nicest possible way ;-) I have the 'complete' Kalule now, so I suppose I'll be brushing up on him in the coming weeks and he will get an airing. After Lennox :deal
Valero would be an excellent one to do, pending you're not going to be a **** with it like some of you lot usually are. No offence.
Cheers all for the reading material, always appreciate a new entry. This thread is by far the best on the forum. :good
They all love him, it's only me and I ain't doin' him am I? Although I will be doing Valero 2.0 tomorrow ;-)
Who would that be now? You might as well get in there before one of "them" do, where his record and the letterls "OG" will be the only thing posted. I'll do one on Cleto Reyes or something.:yep
