Miranda has been KOed in every big fight he has been in he has a Glass Jaw but I do get your point HBO was trying to hype him up as something big. Pavlik ruined their plans but it has more to do with Miranda's abysmal Chin than anything.

what people fail to see (chin checkers) is not what pavlik threw but what he took in that fight. i don't need to click on the link b/c i've seen the fight more times than i care to count. miranda was and can still knock someone through the ropes. edison planted his feet, stepped in a bucket and threw from his ass and connected on several shots and kelly didnt even back up.

in all honesty that is more demoralizing than getting hit by someone and thinking "damn this boy can kick." being hyped up b/c of highlight reel ko's and then having a bull take your best and walk right through it will make you realize you've been lied to.

 

Too bad MickeyC doesn't come around anymore. His father is in the ring at the end getting some camera time.

 

dude if you knew **** about the build up to that fight you would know that kelly earned his taylor shot in an elimator prior to the miranda fight. they ****ed him over b/c they wanted to build up a taylor/miranda fight which, at the time, was the biggest mw fight that could be made. so they put pav/miranda on the undercard of taylor's fight to build edison up against this no white hope.

hopkins even said he would be happy if edison took the reigns. the entire build up was edison and taylor talking **** to eachother like kelly wasnt there. taylor is awful at talking **** and the best he could come up with was telling edison he needed to comb his hair. steward was laughing at kelly. obviously people don't realize this b/c they all say kelly should hook up w/ manny simply b/c he's a rangy white kid w/ pop not realizing how pissed pavlik's whole camp was with manny laughing at him the whole time.

taylor/miranda was what hbo had in mind and kelly ruined it with a foty performance.

Seriously, the third reel starting about 15 seconds before the 4 minute mark. They guy with the sun glasses on the top of his head.

 

Yeah, fine. My point is though even if Miranda KO'd Pavlik in one round, there is no way on earth a fight between him and Taylor could be described as a 'super-fight'.

 

Miranda landed about 10 low blows by 3-d round. Hurt his hand on pavs nuts.
