The rule you sited proves Bute LOST. Again, the ref doesn't take time into consideration, you have to be ready to continue when you stand, you don't just have to make it to your feet.

So you're saying rising = laying on the ropes. If the ropes are the only thing holding you up, you are considered down. Many fighters have been stopped while laying against the ropes unable to stand. It was a bull**** ending to an otherwise non-descript fight. I give Bute credit for doing the right thing and giving Bute a rematch.
