I do not regard myself as a Frankie Gavin fan but I hope sorts out his personal life and finds peace of mind even if that means he walks away from boxing. I personally wish the young man all the best.

do any of you remember Darren Sutherland?

it's easy to sit there and speculate and cast judgements but sometimes nobody knows how deep somebody's unhappiness until it's too late so I think everybody should give him the benefit of the doubt and send him best wishes until Frankie Gavin himself decides if or when to discuss his personal issues.

Fantastic comment pal , and very very true when Frankie is right in body and mind he will be back and not before , I just hope he does get some help with whatever the problem is, as your reference to Darren Sutherland is bang on the money . Nobody had any idea of darrens problems and look at what the outcome was a tragic loss of life . So let's get behind Frankie and wish him well and a speedy return to action .

Agreed. I am not necessarily a fan but wish him all the best. Don't understand how people can be so critical without knowing what is going on! If his boxing career goes down the pan, Gavin will be the biggest loser from it and will have to live with the fact he never got anywhere near his potential.

Bang on the money mate. Been thinking more about the situation and Sutherland came to mind. Hopefully Frankie can get everything straightened out with nothing silly happening

    From the Birmingham mail
