    He needs professional help.

    Seems mentally weak.

I wonder what he would do if he was fighting someone like Mayweather and was getting picked apart consistantly. I could see him quitting.

He is running out of time though so needs to get his act together ASAP

So he hasn't had an advance then?

Even if he hadn't I'd be very, very surprised if he hasn't broken his contract to go AWOL. Point still stands, loads of folk have issues, loads of them still turn up for work every day. If boxing's too tough for him mentally then he could always get a day job.

i dont understand what the fascination is with frankie gavin, he's looked satisfactory against fighters who are at the bottom end of the top 50. Its like when the americans where blowing sunshine up james toneys ass after he beat Iran barkley all those years ago. Get over it hes just not that good.

    anybody can be hyped up.

    Take bernard dunne for instance.

I think that Gavin does have good defensive skill but he isn't fast enough at top level and doesnt hit hard enough. he also isnt good being the aggressor and tends to admire his defensive work too much. at 147 he is not even the best in the country and would get beaten by kell brook imo.

there is money to be made opposing him when he steps up i reckon

What's that? An 11-0 pro who has yet to fight for the British title would get beaten by a 25-0 fighter with many more years pro experience and a No. 6 rating with the WBA? And they told me you were controversial!

The fact he's had 11 fights and could go into a match with virtually any British welter bar Brook with a chance of winning is testament enough to his potential. Let's give him a chance to get his mindset right and complete the proper pro apprenticeship before we pass judgement. Comparing him to Kell Brook right now is like comparing Billy Joe Saunders and Ryan Rhodes.

spot on but to be fair i dont think its out of the question that on his day he wouldnt give brook a run for his money already
