Presumably nobody would have bothered to doctor a photo back then as there was no incentive to do so.

Also, while Jeffries had his share of faults, bening a bull sh1tter was not one of them.

Of course there was incentive to do so. It's called ballyhoo and it's as old as the sport.

So sombody back in 1900 faked a photo to prove what was universaly taken for granted?

You can talk about people having entrenched positions, but when you are refusing to accept the evidence of your own eyes if it dosn't suport your position, there is a problem.

Jesus, have you never heard of promotors and their hijinx? Or do you also believe in the Loch Ness Monster cuz its in a picture?

Sure, Jeff was strong and a decent athlete. But he inhabited a world of midgets and weaklings.

Personaly, if I see a picture that contradicts my argument, I accept the evidence of my own eyes, despite the fact that the technology for faking photographs was existant/more developed in the eras that I am somtimes up against.

I could argue with equal integrity that the photo of George Foreman lifting the cow was faked.

Can we have some standards in this debate please?

How about some standards of gullibility?

I buy this photo about as much as the one Johnson allegedly restraining two horses.

But if the photograph suported your argument, you would acept it without question.

    Bottom line.......

Johnson, while still a novice made Sharkey look a lumbering unskilled oaf and was fired for it.

Would this be the Choynski that Jeffries said hit him the hardest he was ever hit?

The same Choynski that Johnson, Corbett, and Fitz ,[whom he dropped twice] said was the hardest hitter they ever faced?

The same Choynski that Jeffries outweighed by 63lbs ,I'll say that again . SIXTY THREE POUNDS!

The same Choynski that, although outweighed by 63lbs, held Jeffries to a TWENTY ROUNDS DRAW?

And would this be the same Johnson who ,10 months earlier weighed 168lbs for a fight with Jack McCormick?

Ketchel weighed 170.5lbs when he fought Johnson.

Now read you response again and ,spot the " Mendozaism's" in it ,then make a mental note to yourself , "I must try harder".
    One positive note:good
    No , " Adam says"

    P. S. I can do this ad infinitum. You are allready struggling

You must be dense. Once again I have told you thins before, and posted news reads to back up what I say, Why can't you learn? Delaney had an acrimonious split from Jeffries, and made stuff up. He was in fact in Johnson corner. So try to learn something for once, and stop making an a@@ clown of yourself on this topic and others.

Read the below link. It clearly states that Delaney was in Johnson corner. Jeffries not only had to fight 5 years of rust, losing strength from shedding 80+ pounds, and age, he also to had to ponder what his old trainer told Johnson about how best to defeat him.

So you equate a balanced lift ,which to qualify for a good lift ,needs only to clear the ground momentarily,as being the same as a man effortlessly lifting an unbalanced weight of 510lbs up into a wagon? Interesting, insane ,but interesting.

WRONG AGAIN!!! Your batting 1000 here. To paraphrase what Jeanette said " Johnson has no chance against Jeffires unless Jeffereis was bound with balls and chains on his arms and legs. Jeanette assumed Jeffries could return to form, which of course he did not.

Also you wrote it was Langford who picked Jeffries, then says it was not Jeanette, Mcvey or Langford. Your a defective cancerous old man! You had it right the first time. Langford picked Jeffries to win.:lol::lol:

Others should not waste time on you, and if you are taking photos from another site, you should list the source.
