    no

though you do got me thinking, he may have the record for most wins over one time linear champs or having fought the most onetime linear champs with

    tyson
    foreman
    moorer
    douglas
    holmes

    and lennox

all being linear champions at one point in their career.

    Ali had what,
    moore
    patterson
    liston
    fraizer
    foreman
    holmes

idk maybe not. was patterson a linear champ?

  3. I consider him the greatest cruiserweight and one of the top ten best heavies of all time. His only problem sometimes was inconsistency.

I mean, he can - but it's best he isn't.

Arguments have indeed been made. They just aren't very compelling.

Low end of the top ten.

For his era he's above Tyson, below Lewis.

He struggled at times with old foreman, and was ko'd by Bowe, plus lost decision to him. His best boost to some in boxing public comes from beating Tyson and lasting so long. He was also portrayed as hero to Tyson's villain, a role Holyfield played well, despite steroids, and 5 kids with 3 different women. Remember him always singing religious hymns when entering ring? He may be top 10, is not top 5.

    really?
past his prime foreman? foreman got the belt AFTER Holyfield beat him...

Tyson had a belt and Holyfield took it!

He beat Moorer as well.. Rahman..

He is one of the best - just not the best. The man was arguably the finest CW we've ever had and has literally fought everyone available.

    Categorically no ****ing way!!
He beat a Tyson who was a shaddow of the fomer monster, was dominated by Lewis and Bowe twice. Bowe and Lewis were both better, and the pre-prison Tyson would have beaten him too.

Holyfield was a great competitor and warrior, but Ali has better wins and would have beaten Holyfield 10 times from 10, as would Liston, Louis, Lewis and a young Tyson. But for the fan man Bowe would have went 3-0 with him IMO.
