We have a bunch of scientist. Nah, it's common with asia-pacific people to have calves like that.

That's why calf muscles have evolved to be mostly slow twitch, endurance muscles. Slow twitch muscles aren't for power and the fibres are smaller which makes it harder to build them up.
You're right that muscles work with the tendons, muscles need to be strong enough to support the tendons and to stretch the tendons, then the tendons recoil and produce the power. Without tendons we would be incredibly weak.
During high speed movements like throwing a punch you need to bend your knees, as you push into the ground and extend your hips the muscles are compressed and contract rapidly which lengthens the tendons. The achilles tendon is lengthened very early on so it recoils rapidly at the end of the movement. The calf muscles shorten early on and by the time the achilles tendon is providing the power causing you to explode off the balls of your feet your calf muscles are working nearly isometrically and providing basically no power by themselves.
The calf muscles are for supporting, not providing power. The achilles tendon isn't lengthened or shortened at high speeds by the work of the calf muscles but by the muscles higher up.
When walking your calf muscles do alot of the work but with any powerful movement they are just there for support.

Yeah muscle proportion is largely genetic, people with shorter legs are going to look stockier. It's funny how everybody equates size with power.

Yeah, but boxers and sprinters train the muscles differently.

Obviously, but they both require power generated by the action-reaction against the ground. Biomechanically the movements are very similar and as I've been saying the properties of the tendons and energy released from the recoil are responsible for powerful movements.

I just did you ****ing ******, even within an immediate family there are differences. He said it's common among those sort of people, he didn't say everybody was the same. If you have a generally shorter race of people you'll have people with shorter, more compact limbs. Doesn't mean it's impossible to get a Yao Ming.
What you said is dumb as ****, even for ESB standards.

It is inborn, not much anybody can do about their calves size.

I got thin calves that I used to be disgusted with when I was teenager. I keep donig that tip tioing exercise. It incerased the size of the upper calves but the lower part remain skin and bones. There is simply no room for that part to get fatter as there is simply no tissue in it.

Well, I am not an expert on that since I am not africo-Americana.

But the first wave of Flips to reach the Islands were brownies and usually these pure brownies tend to be big boned,

heavy set, not all of course specially now since the population is malnourished.I look at Pac's dad he is a pure brownie

and I think that's where he got it from.

It's genetic. Almost every filipinos has strong freakish calves.
