The current Versions of these fighters...

A lot of people seem to say that Mayweather is JMM x2.....

Can we have a good analysis on why you believe Mayweather is JMM x2?

As I see it they handle defense and offense and they way they move around the ring completely different, I mean JMM would never shell up and wait for the other guy to finish like Mayweather does, so this would be a bad move against PACQUIAO as pac would just unload on his shell... PAC needs someone who will not only counter but when things get tough to fight back to get him back in control... I see they have similarities but they are not an exact copy of each and both would handle things very differently which would chance how the PAC fights play out.

Ortiz is not a good gauge on how it would go down, because ORTIZ and PACQUIAO are miles away from skill balls and heart.

But how do you see it? EVEN Morales who succesfully tried to copy the Marquez blueprint had to enter into a war, and defend himself and try and control the little bundle of dynamite that is PAC by engaging in a little war... does Mayweather have what it takes to control pac in a war, beccause PAC does not back up, he will be in mayweathers face all night long with combos and pressure that Mayweather has never seen before in the way PAC brings it...

COuld Mayweather go into war? or will he just shell up and run, as that will be his demise... Pacquiaos Kryptonite is to not only box well, but have the balls to fight back and make into a war, running or shelling up is not how PAC can be beat.

Yes, he does. Tijuana backed him up with the jab. Cottoe backed him up a few times with the jab too. Floyd has a longer and sharper jab than both those guys.

One of Floyd's tools to neutralize emmanuel's offense is the clinch. None of emmanuel's previous opponents were masters at the clinch game. It's an American thing, foreigners dunno how to clinch

Backed him up, not won the fight with it alone.. you forget the war that he had to enter to get PAC's respect, the balls Morales had to go toe to toe, as defense alone will not win the fight... it will not be an easy fight for Mayweather.

I was looking for the 'Mayweather is not only bigger, but does everything better than JMM' option. I couldn't find it.

I'll do the talking after the fight haha

Pac had been backed up by a jab?????

I'll expect to see excuses from you after Pac wins that fight

NOT ONLY FROM YOU ACTUALLY "IT ALWAYS HAPPENS"

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ATE THEIR CROWS ALREADY FROM NOT EVEN GIVING PACQUIAO A CHANCE OF WINNING

BET EVERYTHING WHEN THE FIGHT HAPPENS

BECAUSE I WILL AND I'M CONFIDENT THAT I WILL WIN

They're completely different even in regards to defense. Part of Marquez defense is putting himself at risk to be hit in order to get Pacquiao. Floyd doesn't do this and this is my reason he may be wary of fighting Pacquiao because he knows along with Marquez and Morales, in order to give Pacquiao alot of trouble, he will have to be able to take this firepower or be on his A+ game so much that he can avoid everything Pac throws which I don't really think he can.

He isn't willing to brawl as much as Marquez for sure. Mayweather looked shocked by Ortiz, and as far as inside work against Ortiz... It wasn't there.
I can't see Mayweather knocking Manny out, and I can hardly see anybody below 154 being able to keep Pac off them. Mayweather's legs slowed down drastically (at least against Ortiz), his inside game consists of using his forearm.
Can't see him beating a solid pressure fighter with a good chin, and a never quit attitude like Manny. Most guys Floyd fights are either mentally weak, or physichally weak (slow, small, etc). Pac is neither, and Floyd knows Pac is no easy task. Unless it's old ring age...I don't see anybody around 147 being able to handle Pac. Dude has gotten bigger since his last fight, and looks like his speed is still there.
If Mayweather is JMMx2... Then watch the fight, watch JMM get obliterated in a few rounds, and then double the time he lasted as to how long Floyd lasts. If he blows out JMM in 3 rounds, I'm betting Pac blows out Mayweather in 6 rounds ;).

:huh He has already beat a few solid pressure fighters. Also all of his opponents have been bigger than him or the same size except for Marquez. :deal

Let's see what Mayweather is inferior in compared to JMM:

    - Combinations
    - Aggression
    - Balls
    - Reaction to getting punched
    - The willingness to counter every punch

So no, Mayweather is not better at everything. Mayweather goes into the ropes and cover up when hurt. JMM is like a honey badger and will attack you if he's in danger. Mayweather will run and hide like a mouse.
