Off the top of your head, what are 3 fights where a guy was down more than once, looked like he was on his way out, then scored an improbably knockout? Basically, your top 3 come from behind wins.
This was madness, considering JLC wasn't being careless or reckless; Corrales legitimately picked his shots while on ***** street and crushed a surging, iron jawed opponent. The more you know about boxing, the more fights you see, the more you learn, the more amazing that 10th round becomes.
I remember when ODLH said Floyd was "not that good" and Floyd said "Oscar's books too are absent from this library. Just that one omission alone would make a fairly good library out of a library that hadn't a book in it." and he said this comeback DURING their fight to Lampley! atsch It was awesome. Fourth round, I think. I was there. I was like ''Oh, snap! No, he didn't!"
I think you can watch it on so many different levels. You can see his heart as he gets up and fights on or you can watch him carefully land those tight hooks whilst on shaky legs himself and break down JLC in under a minute.
D more telling that repeatedly spitting d mouthpiece turns out 2 b . This , as well as Moorer vs. Cooper doesn't qualify .
Froch vs Taylor is a pretty good shout, as opposed to an instant turn around like Chico vs JLC it was a gradual fightback. In the first six rounds he was being outclassed. Beaten to the punch throughout and dropped too. Not sure what changed in the 7th and 8th rounds, but from then on he took over. The finish is chilling, so many fighters smother their own work throwing millions of bombs loaded up from nowhere. Froch walks in with his hands down, nodding his head.... then gets the body shots going and eventually finishes Taylor off. The commentary is epic too.
There will always b d smartass 2 ignore TS' 1st post . Did JMM stop Pacquiao (in this fight) ? does not qualify because Benn was heavily helped by d referee . Chavez went down more than 1ce vs Taylor ? Froch went down more than 1ce vs Taylor ? This 1 I already posted .
1) Chavez-Taylor is by far the best example I can come up with. 2) Marciano-Walcott I 3) Quarry never hit the canvas against Foster but he was getting outclassed before finishing him.
A couple of good ones: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txUU8iy3pRI[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuybbZzCOhE[/ame] One of the all-time greatest that is unfortunately not on film was Fritzie Zivic vs Milt Aron. http://news.google.com/newspapers?i...IBAJ&pg=2804,5309223&dq=milt+aron+zivic&hl=en
Honorable mention to JMM vs. Pacquiao in their first fight. Marquez was getting beat around the ring in the first round and was even dropped 3 times but came back and did just a little more than Pac over the next 11 rounds in order to get the draw.
