And who exactly has Bowe ever fought that you can safely say Bowe has a granite chin himself? Not that chin would matter in these two fights, he'd lose on everything else:

Bowe had zero ring generalship, he never learned to use his height and reach. Bowe's workrate, jab were average at best. His strengths (infighting and punch) won't matter much when matched vs. big guys like Wlad and Lennox who were very effective at nullifying infighting when required.

In fact Bowe used to give away his entire physical advantage against much shorter and smaller opposition. That speaks of low ring IQ and generally terrible strategic preparation.

Both Lennox & Wlad - both under Manny Stewart - became masters of strategy and using their height and reach. Bowe would be completely outmatched and I see absolutely no reason why a weak-minded contender like Bowe would be given a better than underdog chance against proven champs like Lewis or Wlad who proved they can remain king of the hill for longer than a weekend.

under Manny... Lennox was KO'd ... and that was during his PRIME!!

under Manny as well... Lewis was broken by V. Klitchko and decided to retire...

Now Wlad... well he is a problem fighter.. the only thing that needs to be exposed is his chin.. against fighters who have ko power.. Wlad fights scared..

Bowe was a unified champ... and took it with no problem...he lost on a Majority Decision... by that time though he had already started to decline..

    Bowe is being underrated here

    Lewis > Bowe

    Bowe > W Klitschko.

Not fighting seems to be a perfectly good way to keep the discussion going if or not you could have beaten your opponent. And their fans buy it too.
    - I don't have to fight him, because I'm better anyway.
    - He lost 2/3 fights already.
    - The money isn't good.
    - etc. etc...

The thing is... Bowe clearly ducked Lewis during their careers and that tells me one thing, Bowe was scared of (or at least intimidated by) LL.
If 2 very good boxers fought eachother troughout history, and one of them was afraid he almost always lost the fight.

i fail to understand why Bowe would be ko'd by Lewis ......

Bowe had never been Ko'd as a pro!

Even his tko in the olympics was highly questionable..... the announcers even said there was something wrong with the "stoppage" .. remember this was the same olympics where roy jones was robbed and it was later proven that the South Koreans were paying off judges

    No he won't.

Infighting Holyfield is prooving one thing and one thing only: That Bowe was unable to make Holyfield fight Bowe's fight. Bowe should fight from the outside, lead with a jab and hammer shorter opponents with long hands.

Holyfield in turn needs to get inside and make his taller opponents fight his infight fight, giving up their reach advantage. Holyfield made Bowe fight *HIS* fight. Holyfield forced Bowe to fight a style that gives the advantage to Holyfield and nullifies many of Bowe's advantages.

Bowe fought the dumbest fights of his life vs. Holyfield. Strategic disasters.

Lewis was KO'd by an inferior opponent because he was ****ing around. Nothing more. There were no holes in his game that night other than his ego. You can't really use that in assesing anyone's ability to beat him. He wasn't beaten by skill, he wasn't out foxed or out muscled and we all know what happened when he came to fight Rahman with a clearer head.

Also Lewis wasn't broken by Vitali. He was in one hell of a fight with what we now know to be one hell of a fighter. He achieved what he wanted and won the ****ing fight. Why go through it again when you don't need to.

and as far as Wlad fighting scared goes. It's actually fighting smart but maybe you can't see it. Name one heavy champ, ever, who took less shots for so many rounds in the ring against the divisions best.

so holyfield made bowe fight his fight.. and was 1-2 ?? with his win coming off of a fan interference... ???

what does that say about bowe's skill to fight his opponents fight and still beat him 2/3 with the loss coming off of a fan interference..

watch the fight again.. when was Lewis really in the fight?

you can't say Rahman was a lucky shot b/c there was no trilogy.... both had one knockout...

against oliver mccall.. lewis was very scared.. he didn't win bc he fought.. he won bc oliver mccall quit in the ring from a mental breakdown...

A 1992 version of Bowe would be a tough fight for either guy, not saying he would win for sure, but it wouldn't be easy, great jab and even as long as he was, he could really fight on the inside. Bowe-Holyfield I, great fight and win against a prime Holyfield.
