who else is ready to see this Golden Boy Promotions/HBO hype job get his Glass Jaw shattered all over the place this weekend? Kirkland can't fight and he has no Chin. None. Hopefully after a loss on Saturday we will never see him on HBO again.

    Thoughts?

He'll be knocked out in 5, but we will see him on HBO again :-(
I want to see him fight Mayorga.

Don't underestimate HBO, they refused to bring Ishida back on boxing after dark but they keep trying to shove Kirkland down our throat.

I think it has more to do with Golden Boy and their control over HBO but I think that is about to change with Ken Hershmann coming in.

Oh he may be an animal but he is a Glass Jawed animal which makes him a joke.

  7. Kirkland has the worst Chin I have ever seen. He got KD'd from a jab FFS.:rofl:-(

Nah HBO probably signed a multi fight deal with Kirkland and just want their return on investment. That and the fact that they're obsessed with creating stars instead of making the best fight the best and letting the real stars emerge.

Agree 100% on this. They have been trying to manufacture superstars and it has been backfiring on them. Just look at Kirkland, Ortiz, Berto, etc...

we should do a thread on the hbo busts.

but kirkland was/is definitely good. if you saw him on espn or sky sports on an undercard you would sign him up. his obliteration over eremosele albert was a big confidence booster for me.

Can't wait to see Angulo walk right through him and savagely KO him. I don't think this one goes past 2 or 3 rounds. I would show Kirkland ZERO respect in there. He has no Chin. None. One of the worst if not THE worst in the sport today.

Can't wait to see china-chinned Kirkland taste canvas again. My guess is he's out of there within 2 rounds, probably after hitting the deck several times. I would not be the least bit surprised if he was knocked cold in the first.

I agree I don't see it going past 3 rounds at the most. Kirkland is mentally fragile and will crumble from the first decent punch he gets hit with. He couldn't even take a Jab from a guy that had 9 KO's :rofl
