Robinson wasn't even 22 when he lost to Lamotta. What you know about boxing again? Dang that's old :nut

Floyd is older than the Whitaker that DLH fought. Floyd will be 35 in about 3 months.

Spinks wasn't even 32 when he fought Tyson. Wow that's old. Much older than Floyd. :patsch

Who the hell is this PacDbest??
I've seen several of these posters on other websites. They make crazy predictions that happens. This guy can be a lot useful when we make bets here. Can somebody call this guy out? :thumbsup

Ok, I'll give you Lamotta, but how many times did Robinson and Lamotta fight? What were the outcomes?

Whitaker was still an OLE assed man in the ODLH fight.

How many fights did Spinks have post Tyson? Spinks was an OLE 32.

EDIT: and you failed to mention that Lamotta had a 16lb weight advantage over Robinson the ONLY time that he beat him.

    *******s still grasping @ straws.

They banned him. They thought he was too off the wall and annoying with his predicitons. Only after everyone noticed how close his predictions actually were. Even the Pac fans thought he was delusional but as it turned out, alot of his predictions about Pacquiao and even Donaire beating Darchinyan were much closer than those who claim to "know about boxing" could offer. By the way, he once posted that he thinks Pac would KO Floyd. :happy

*******s, the ONLY way Manny beats Floyd is if he can find an answer for Mayweather's right hand.

It's unfortunate that he doesn't have one...

Okay. I see where you're coming from and agree with some of the things that you implied. However it's not easy to close in the distance on Floyd without eating a left hook to the side of your face. When Manny jump/leap in and out, he constantly lunged with his head first[which usually caused him to accidentally headbutted his opponents], he'd get hit with the left hook or check hook constantly against Floyd because Floyd would use range spacing to analyze Manny's rhythm enough to time him coming in and move out. While Manny may throw unpredictable combos, his in and out rhythm is very predictable and can be neutralize by a Boxer with technical skills and Boxing IQ of Floyd Mayweather.

Lamotta had a 16lb weight advantage over Robinson - and he still avenged that loss 3 weeks later. SRR just had an off night.

Whitaker was an OLE' assed man and yet some thought he beat ODLH.

Stop grasping @ straws and making excuses for your man.

Mayweather beats Pacquiao, period. Even Arum knows it which is why this fight isn't happening.

Arum knows that Pacquiao has *NO ANSWER* for Mayweather's right hand. Hell, I've even venture to say that Pacquiao has no answer for Mayweather's lead/counter left hook.

Whenever this fight happens, it ain't gonna be pretty for your hero...

I do think Floyd would win by a fair margin, but here's the scenario where I could see Pacquiao winning if they both fight the way they normally do:

    - Mayweather's normal defense against orthodox fighters tends to inhibit punching so that his opponents don't throw nearly as much as usual. His southpaw defense, while still very good, doesn't have that effect.

    - Pacquiao may quite well end up throwing twice as many punches as Mayweather.

    - One possibility is that Pacquiao would try to stalk Mayweather like Ortiz did, and if he gets Mayweather cornered, he's just a lot more accurate than Ortiz. While Mayweather was starting to get warm around the time of the KO, it's not like Ortiz didn't have SOME success against Mayweather, and Pacquiao is just a lot better, quicker and more accurate than Ortiz is.

    - The other is that some judges just like to score rounds based on workrate. See Alexander-Kotelnik and Williams-Martinez I for a couple of good examples. Simply because he probably throws so many more punches than Mayweather, judges are probably more likely to give an edge to Pacquiao in close rounds.

All that said, Pacquiao leaves himself open more and more lately, and I think Mayweather will pick him apart after 5 or 6 close rounds.

I bet that will be the formal excuse if Floyd loses to Pacquiao. He would then become OLD.

pac has chin, work rate & power on his side...that about it....jab negates speed.
If this fight happens pac man is done....(ps roach should train gamboa...similar physical attributes to pac man)

thats easy, he already sides steps to get away from the right hand,

how will Floyd handle Pacquiao when he attacks from the sides? how will his should roll work then?
