    And 17 madmen.

Calzaghe would have wringled those slaps in.

Prime Calzaghe would score a UD against Ward.

I bet you if Ward decisively beats Froch, a lot of you would change your opinions.

I think either way, it would be close. I don't see anyone dominating. Both are A level fighters. I favor Ward. He's more complete. Calzaghe can adjust but doesn't even know what in fighting is. Ward can fight ugly or he can box. No way Calzaghe throws 100 punches a round against a talent like Ward. Ward would make him pay and would control distance with his footwork.

Ward too slow and unathletic for Joe. Calzaghe easily.

It's far too early in Ward's career to suggest he could beat Calzaghe

    Calzaghe obviously.

If Ward beats Froch and Bute, then my opinion will change, Ward hasn't done enough yet.

Stylewise, there is no way Calzaghe will lose. Might be a close match, but even in neutral ground, fighters who throw large volumes of punches normally get the round from the judges.

Higher workrate (almost always wins rounds)
    Can fight in all styles
Can adjust very well in a fight
    Fast
Hard chin (Calzaghe, in this matchup, isn't fighting a 175lber, nor a particularly hardpuncher)
    Angles
    Footwork
Slaps you so much you fight out only in spots but are still forced to move a lot, making you lose more stamina in the progress
Stamina is on his side too

    Really?
S.O.G takes this....there is a reason Joe called it a day, come back and fight Bhop like he wants....

I think Ward is more athletic than Calzaghe was. But Calzaghe was the superior fighter in his prime.

Your on point man, plus S.O.G is not even in his prime imo...however everything depends on the next fights with Froch, Bute & Kesseler
