I am a big fan of both Degale and Groves but I worry for them when I hear talk of world title fights the supermiddle weight division is not a joke...in fact it is the most talent rich division in boxing at the moment....

Do you fellow british fans believe honestly these guys can hang with the elites
Froch, Ward, Dirrell, Kessler, even Bute and the countless others

No, They will need division to clear out over next 18 months then pursue the titles but sadly they've got a long way before they can match them guys.

Groves and Degale both lose to Rosinky and Edwin Rodriguez who are be really at the same level as Groves and Degale.

Also Sakio Bika beats them both.

The world champs they get beaten badly.

Lets be honest the only "world" champ that Degale could be going near anytime soon is Steiglitz. Apart from that there is no way he will be put in with any of the others nor would he stand a chance.

Neither of them stand a chance against Bute, Kessler, Froch or Ward at the moment

Was interested to read a little bit from Glen Johnsons manager on maxboxing today. When asked would Johnson retire if bute beat him the manager said no, we will hit the road again. There's a couple possible fights in England.

Now as far as I can see the only fights he could mean are Magee, Groves or degale. can't see Magee risking his bauble against Johnson and I don't think Johnsons manager would mention it unless they've been contacted bout something. Personally I think Fwank would be mad to stick either of them in with Johnson at the moment

They both lose badly to any of the elite smw at the moment.I could see Degale getting an interim title shot against Magee built up to the Casuals as a World Title fight :dead

They wont be in proper world title fights, they will be in interim fights for a good couple of years if neither of them can get hold of Stieglitz.

I can see Booth wanting Johnson for Groves, one of those calculated risks they always talk about.

Groves is only 23 and is level headed, he knows himself he has a lot to learn and is far and away from being the finished article.

5 years time he'll still only be 28, the division could have cleared up and if he carries on improving at the rate he is now.. theres no reason why he can't win big at world level.
