After watching the 24-7's its evident tha Marquez has a much better approach to the weight gain this go around and has preserved some of that sting but it just looks like Pacquiao is wayyyy to fast for him. Thoughts?

Slow ass Margarito hit him 229 times, so Marquez will have no problems, don't believe the Pacquaio hype, even though he takes more unnecessary punishment than Tito, I'm just afraid those wars have diminished him.

Do you think Freddie was telling the truth when he said he would have him come in at 135 and be at his best speed wise? Or just Freddie waffling as usual.

Lies...........Manny's best stategy is to overwhelm the questionalbe chinned Marquez, and blow him out with his power early before Marquez gets into rhythm

Marquez never relied on speed. It's all brain power with him, timing and rhythm to get in his great counters and offensive shots.

Sorry I meant Freddie said if he was Marquez trainer he would have him come in at 135 where he is best.

I don't understand why Marquez's camp feel like they are obligated to make the weight limit. If he's a better, faster fighter when he's lighter; he should come in at that weight. That's what Pacquiao did against Margarito. He didn't pack on pounds to try and match his weight.

he looks fast enough to me in the training sequences

like the speed coach said he will never be as fast or faster than Manny

but if they can just retain the speed he already has for the jump he will be ok

his speed plus timing will be fine

i mean he is a lightweight and is quick and sharp definitely faster than the welters Manny has been facing

Speed was never Marquez strong suit, his ring IQ and accuracy is his strength, he's is gonna touch Manny's chin regardless, they are more concerned about Marquez gaining power with his weight enough to drop Manny, they already showed they can badly stun Manny at the lower weights.

Roach just playing chess, I can't wait to see how the fight turns out.

Timing is how Marquez will approach the speed, counter punches, punching where he thinks Manny will be. He needs the extra weight and muscle I think to have enough punch resistance to deal with Pac's power now. I don't know how well it will serve him though. The one thing I do know for sure is that JMM will come to fight and not run like Mosely, win he lose he's going down swinging.

I think their strategy with the weight has to do more with improving JMM's ability to take Pac's shots. He looks good IMO and he is still the smarter fighter out of the 2.
