    What a great ****in fight.

As much **** as Diaz says for saying some wacky things he still gets props from me for being a true warrior. BJ is a true warrior as well. I thought he was done towards the end of the 2nd and for sure thought Nick was gonna finish him in the 3rd but there was BJ firing back and landing some good shots, not giving up for anything!

Don't be suprised if you see BJ back again, maybe against Condit in March.

yep you were right man. I really hoped for BJ to come out the winner but Nicks cardio was too much.

I was wrong about Nick. He's better than I thought. BJ has better boxing though. Nicks cardio and size were the deciding factor. Nick's boxing is awesome though.

I hope he can drag GSP into a "fight".

Nick is the man. Bottom line. Always has been. I've always said it. I don't understand how people were counting him out of this fight aside from their dislike of him.

“I want to thank all the fans for their love and support. I have decided to take some time off to enjoy life, train and teach. I will keep you guys posted with what’s next.”

    - BJ Penn

    He really should retire.

Most fighters on The UFC roster are champions amongst champions, and a fighter like Penn was so good in MMA that he won two UFC titles, and will go down as one of the ATGs.. He has no business to fight beyond his prime.. No business at all. He's not winning another title, and will become a stepping stone for the WW division.

Had he fought Diaz in 2006 instead of GSP, he would have won, and the majority of posters here predicted the Penn of old would show up, but only a select few truly knew that it wasn't the BJ Penn that we have come to know stepping in that cage last Saturday.

Nothing else to prove, he could have called it quits after the 3rd Hughes fight.. I hate seeing great fighters lose to lesser men when they are past their prime.

Because people like to think because they wouldn't like the guy as a person that they have to automatically hate him as a fighter. I see people calling Nick a piece of **** human being, meanwhile his crimes against humanity are what? Talking **** and smoking weed?

Bottom line is the dude brings it, each and every time. As a fight fan that's all I require to be a fan of Diaz.

 You realize that "father time" ticks away every day. BJ has been in the game a LONG time and his body is simply giving way. He's not as fast, strong or young as he use to be...and for the most part this is a young mans sport....the better man won this night but it was a young man on vs. an old legend. Let's not get it twisted.
