Burns will out box him to a close decision. The reason I say close is because like in the Burns/Martinez fight - Katsidis will have his moments and may score a kd over Burns but I think Burns is skilled enough to get a decision.

If your right and Katsidis scores an easy K'O then fair enough I was wrong.

Really looking forward to this fight.

I think Burns will get a fairly close decision but he will have some scary moments throughout the fight. Kats is very dangerous as we all know but hes taken a lot over the years. It might just be the right time for Ricky to do the business.

    Good Luck Ricky!!

Katsidis is a big strong lightweight and I think Ricky needed time to grow into the weight before fighting somebody as strong as Katsidis. Burns wasn't much of a puncher at super featherweight so it's all about him boxing and not getting involved for the full 12 and I can't see that happening, no matter who Katsidis has fought he has had his moments in the fight and I really don't believe Ricky will come through a sticky patch against this type of fighter at this weight.

I see Katsidis stopping a brave Burns around the 9th.

Katsidis hits twice as hard as Martinez! And is simply levels ahead of Martinez. Burns hasn't got the technique, movement, speed or power to keep Katsidis off him.

    This :deal

But I hope I'm wrong and Ricky pulls it off. But for me, not the sharpest move to take this as your first fight up a weight. Ricky's not had a test in the ring for three fights and then he goes up a weight against a fully fledged warrior with bags of experience. Doesn't make sense to me but hope I'm wrong cos Rickys a lovely guy

Im loaded with the cold, so will make this short & sweet. I have seen it all before here, Martinez was supposed to crush burns according to most folks on here, & Burns won by UD.

Rickys stronger at the new weight, & Im pretty sure theres gonna be a lot of astonishment when people see just how much they have underrated him for this fight. Trust me Katsidis pickers, its not going to turn out how you think, Burns to win inside the distance:smoke

the only way burns wins the fight is matching katsidis face on....burns has quicker hands and feet , that will be the difference....if burns tries to box then katsidis will hunt him down thats why he MUST meet him head on

burns will come through many rough moments but in the last 3-4 rounds he will use an in and out style and simply out-work the slightly fading katsidis.

    115-113 or 116-112 burns

I see Katsidis KO round 8. I like Burns. As already pointed out after fighting three stupid defenses to move up in weight and fight Katsidis is career suicide.

burns doesnt have enough meat behind his punches to keep katsidis off him and you can only run for so long, katsidis stops burns late in the fight, bring on burns vs mitchell in the new year :)

Burns handspeed is fairly average. His footwork isn't great either, he backs up in straight lines with his chin in the air.
