its not the weight but it is the overall skill that makes this fight laughable. Pac's style plays right into pbf's.

if this was to happen Pac gets stopped inside 6

U can really see the size diference in their body frames, and bone structure, but i agree that the size difference is not that drastic, the problem is that Manny's style works againsnt naturally smaller fighter, his punch is not going to be that effective and the punches he'll be taking in return will surely leave him seeing the stars.

That picture of Mayweather is probably about 7 years old.

oh yeah, and even Hatton was evidently too small to actually impose his style on Mayweather.

yup, agree with most of you. Pacman will be eating "heavy" counters on his way in to the defense of PBF. It is undeniable that between the two, PBF has heavier hands having accustomed his style to the heavier divisions longer than pacmn.

A hatton fight may be more feasible considering the similarities in their heights and styles, but odds, I believe, are against pac. But I will "buy" both fights should they somehow materialize

Because 150 is about Mayweather trained AND fully hydrated weight. He's a gym rat, much like Hopkins before him.

Pacquiao's trained weight is no more than 135 tops. His hydrated weight is still 5 lbs lighter than Mayweather's fighting weight. If Pacquiao were to bulk up to make his actual fighting weight near Mayweather's, he would lose speed and power, which he is already losing a bit at 130.

The only way Pacquiao can compete with more skilled fighters is his great speed and power, basically his athletic ability. He loses even that if he faces Mayweather at the same trained weight, and if he DOESN'T bulk up and lose his best assets, he would simpy be too small.

Exactly. PBF:pac @ 140 is like comparing Hopkins:Hatton @ 160. One is the prime, in-shape weight, the other is the over-eating, out of shape weight. Big difference.

No disrespect to Pac, but Floyd stops him at 130, he kills him at 140 or 147

All your opinions will change once Pac achieve his goal of 3 Belts in 3 weight Classes this year. What if Pac Stop Hatton earlier than PBF??? Will you guys say Pac is still too small & No match against PBF???

I think that was from DLH fight. The Pac pics there was from Morales' first fight in 2005, His 1st fight at 130. Pac is much bigger now.

Not only are their weights the only factor. Pacquiao who came up from flyweight relies on his speed and power to win, while Floyd relies on his speed and skill. If they fight now Pac's power is not even comparable to dela Hoya's, which Floyd took quite well. How can Pac even conceive of a plan to win here, when one of his greatest assets, namely power, is a non-factor from the start?

You cannot base an argument on a hypothetical. So lets stick with reality here for the time being.

Besides, why would anyones opinion change? Yours hasn't no matter WHAT PBF does. So my opinion won't be effected by what Pacquiao MIGHT (and has little chance to) do.
