Gone for Burns on points. Hardest fight of his career but I think he might have the stuff to pull it off. (No Jock)
Katsidis has fought and been competitive at the highest level at 135, against better fighters than Burns. Martinez took a belt from the woefully average Nicky Cook who was outboxing him early on. And Cook is clearly chinny.
mate respect your opinion as you talk alot of sense on here and on boxrec. thats why ive mentioned that burns must meet him head on...his style of boxing him is all wrong because of the habits you have mentioned. burns has to be smart , he does have faster hands and feet though and this is why i think he will win. match or better katsisdis with workrate , hold when you need to then begin to pick your punches late in the fight.....i would base his tactics on holyfield vs tyson 1 i dont know how much katsidis has left as vs guerro he didnt look the same....saying that katsidis has fought the very best at this weight and that is a big advantage for him. it will be an excellent fight pity its not at the kelvin hall in glasgow as i live 5 mins from there lol
going for ricky on points, I think he could surprise katsidis with his willpower to get through the early rounds and I think michael is past his best now.
LOL @ Burns will stop Katsidis... That's made my morning. I'd like to see Burns win, he seem's a good bloke from what you see of him but come on, let's get real. Because Burns beat Martinez has nothing to do with this fight. Martinez was overrated, was never officially #1 like the Scottish on here like to believe, and beat a poor Cook to win the belt. He could hit a bit, but that was it... Nothing else. Now Katsidis, fair enough he's had a fair few losses in his time, but they've only come against the elite @ 135. Martinez who was a decent hitter at SFW had Burns down, so what's gonna' happen if Katsidis land's on him? Ricky might get up afterwards, but will he survive the onslaught that'll come afterwards? I really doubt it. I'll be hoping Burns win's, but i can't see it
So your saying Roman punches harder then Katsidis :rofl:rofl Yes Martinez punches fairly hard at 130 IF he can land, he swings for the fences and you can see his punches coming a mile off, it is worrying how many times Ricky got hit against Martinez, that shows Rickys defence is clearly slack. You got one thing right Billy the first two words of your reply summed up Martinez.
called an opinion mate and considering 1 of them i think is a bit on the slide means burns will win. this is a forum where you do actually debate , some you get right some you get wrong
I really hope Ricky can pull off a points win as that it the only realistic way i can see him winning, Katisidis is a warrior and this fight is some test for Burns, heart says Burns but head says Kats.
Katsidis would have to slide very very far to be beneath Burns' level. I like Ricky, but let analyse based on what we know, not what we want to happen.
