Wlad, very respecfully said he would never fight Holyfield, because he was one of his idols, I believe Vitali has said the same thing.
He needs to sit his old ass down, he's done and he's never gonna be champion again. His time has been gone.
It depends, he's punchy, 50 years old and well, well past it, his best years aren't 5, or 10, but 20 years ago, I don't think either of them would enjoy knocking him out, or seeing that he really couldn't handle it in the ring with them. It was heartbreaking to see Ali vs Holmes (Holmes himself cried), this wouldn't be on a level near that but I wouldn't want to watch either. Thats not even fathoming the monstrous criticism Wlad in particular would face for fighting him.
Here it is, Wlad on Holyfield. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dFejr7AfBU[/ame] 'I have a lot of respect for Holyfield, and I would never fight him' Gent.
Couldnt K2 just give Evander like 10 mil and make him a partner in K2 promotions. Seems better than having to permanently handicap the man. I mean, if they liked him so much they pay him to shut him up. He's not doing anythign for his legacy by going life and death with a 46 yo Neilson who had been retired for 10 yrs, or being beaten up by 43 y/o lifetime journeyman Sherwin Williams. He did OK outworking a 320 lb Valuev, and stayed close enough to avoid a long R hand, but the K2 are a different breed....they wouldn't let him get inside, not now, not 10 yrs ago, not 20 yrs ago. That said, simply pay the man retirement $$$$ and bring him aboard your team...if nothing else they could put him on their undercards fighting 10-35 tomato cans boosting sales among the elderly.
I like Holyfield, have watched him since he was in the Olympic Games. I watched him moved up the ranks and in weight during his pro career and respect him for his accomplishments. However, at this point in time, he has no business getting a fight with either of the Klitschko brothers. That could result in sanctioned murder and I don't think either Vlad or Vitali would want that on their conscience. And I'm no real fan of either of them two, but they are too much for the once great Holyfield.
