"I'm raising this issue, because i want black boxers within boxing to do better"

And learn from guys like David Haye, Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins, Shane Mosley.

I don't just think its afew fighters, i think there is a whole generation of lazy half hearted black fighters in boxing. I think because all the real talented black athlete's are taking part in more easier and lucrative sports. For a very long time boxing was the only sport, you could have the possibility of earning some money, for many decades of the last century this was the case.

Now! most Olympic sports are professional, slowely but surely since the 1980's! i believe the type and calibre of black kids that are attending boxing gyms "Around the world" not just only in Britain, are now instinctively lazy, and **** talent wise. I think this trend of....

"If you want to lose weight, go to a boxing gym, has totally been taking to the next level in recent years"

I think more and more the percentage of these type of kids, and even people. Attending boxing gyms around the country are fitting this description, they are not talented athlete's to begin with.

Because all the real talented black kids/white kids are taking part in sports such as football, Rugby, Basketball, NFL.

"And now introduction of MMA is taking over at grassroots level, there is somewhat of a epidemic in boxing in my opinion"

I also think most of the white kids, at grassroot level are talent wise totally **** compared to past generations. Thats why across the whole board in boxing the actually standard technically which we see on TV is very poor.

"And its one of the main reason why we see no real athlete's in boxing today, they are just averagely talented people physically who have dedicated to the sport, simple things like motor skills, co-ordination, are a rarity in boxing today"

But my problem here is with the black generation of today, because within boxing i think they are more lazier than their white counterparts, and it really annoys me to see simple things like work ethic being neglected.

Derek Chisora is a perfect example.

Be interesting to see Derek Chisora, fighting very soon.

"But apart from David Haye, who probably shares this same opinion of mine"

Derek Chisora is a repeat offender when it comes to simple things in life..? like keeping good general fitness.

"How hard is it..? when thats what you get paid to do..?"

I think he is a better fighter than Tyson Fury, but his share laziness, and poor work ethic leading up to that fight, cost him the victory. There is absoulute no excuse for the shape and condition he was in during that fight, fair enough if he had thyroid issues or health complications....maybe so.

But there is nothing wrong with Derek Chisora, but i think he lacks discipline and work ethic.

I don't expect there to be such a debate out of this, because there is no debate. Because everything that is said to a certain extent is the truth. "There are very few boxers these days that live like athlete's, David Haye, K-bro's, Floyd Mayweather, Shane Mosley etc....

Work ethic, and the actual calibre of athlete's within boxing these days is poor.

I agree, some fighters when they get to the top they stop doing what they done to get them there.

Theres always been an element of that going back to the start of the sport. One of Haglers quotes is something like "Its hard getting up for roadwork at 5am when you are lying in silk sheets".

You know what I (and Hagler) meant, its harder for a lot of fighters to keep the motivation that got them to the top once they've "made it". Thats not a modern phemomenon.
