    How is this nonsense? :think

It's well documented, I could show you numerous reports that refer to it as fact.

Read my opening post, i've not only outlined the intrinsically lazy black fighters. But its having a too fold affect, because in my opinion, they are not really talented as past generations.

"Because there are more lucrative easier sports in which kids can take part in at grassroots level, which was not the case for many decades"

If these fighters are so poor..? why are they so fat..? This thread might well evolve into a comedic thread, but i have outlined serious issues within the sport today.

"We have too many lazy fighters, weather they are black or white, and i believe all the really talented athlete's are doing other sports"

Haye and Floyd themselves have put on half-arsed performances.

No offense PK but this thread is wank. You have an argument that could be applied to a lot of sports today and not just Boxing, but singling out race and **** is not the way to do it.

Bottom line is we are living in a different world now, Boxing for whatever reason is arguably not as popular or "big" as it once was. (very popular on internet apparently .. )

Youngsters and potential sportsman now have a multitude of career-choices, life-paths they can take and options they can make to pursue leisures and hobbies, whereas in the past you could probably narrow the options down 100-fold or more.

The World has become a smaller place, technology has advanced and less people choose the "I'm gonna be Champion of the World" option in life.

However, those who do choose Boxing have better facilities and advice about sports-science and technique etc, no fighting in smoke-filled arenas etc, so it's not all doom and gloom. Maybe the current global financial crisis will help bring more impoverished youths with no future or less choices through the doors of gyms and we'll see an upsurge of hungry talent .....

Speaking from a British POV, I'd say there are far less kids out on the street today playing football for instance, compared to 10/20 years ago. However, there are far more kids getting better coaching than ever before and also benefitting from superior facilities like all-weather pitches and better equipment etc etc

This applies to Boxing too if you consider our successes at the Olympics and Amateurs recently IMO.

    Cheer up you ****! :good

:D thats what happens when you reach a certain level I suppose, when a boxer's future is secured and they have reached a certain level they dont need to fighta as much. When he does fight though hes always been a real professional, always comes in great shape. And back in his younger days he fought regularly.
