I dont see what the fuss is about. Buncey gave an opinion like he usually does. Buncey knows alot about boixng but some people treat him like he is the oracle. I would rather he gave his opinion on a fight that nothing at all.

Billy could you please state specifcally what Buncey said last night that was disrespectful towards Ricky ? When he had him on the phone i thought his line of questioning was fair dinkum He asked him about the weight, his training camp for this fight and thanked him for taking the call during fight week. Btw, don't let your judgement get clouded Billy, Froch-Ward is the biggest fight involving a UK fighter this year, and im Irish so don't go throwing the biased card at me.

All I'll say is that after the quality of television that was the Katsidis interview it made me think that BoxNation should consider a spin-off show for Bunce.

Bunce's hour on Monday and then Weds or Fri a half hour show where Bunce talks to a fighter in the same personal way he talked to Katsidis. If it takes off he becomes BoxNation's Michael Parkinson and has three on at once with a big band playing the intro music....

As for the Nelson argument. I didn't think Bunce said anything wrong or implied anything. Everyone knows this is Ricky's biggest test by a planet. And to be honest Ricky will have to be on guard every second of every minute coz I fear that if Kats lands it won't take much for the ref to jump in and stop it.

As for the English/Scottish thing that's thin and disappointing to be frank.

As a Scotsman I'll be rooting for Burns. But this is a couple of levels above the Martinez fight.

Agree strongly with giving Bunce more screen time as the 1 hour a week show flies by. Maybe they should do 2 hours?

 

Good point fella, THATS my only worry. Katsidis is going to have all the support at this fight bar a section of hardy scotsmen... Kats will have at least 8000 cheering him on, this is like a home fight for Kat. so if he lands flush on Ricky and hurts him, I hope we dont get the typical brit ref stoppage...

Cos Rickys proved he can take big shots & tough it out. But in London... with just about everyone there cheering Katsidis on, I hope we get a strong ref for this one. Nothing would be worse than a premature stoppage either way the minute a big punch lands.
