They can try and get fighters who regularly right on HBO/SHOWTIME undercards and make them headliners. Like it said, better then ESPN, but not up to par with the big boys.

They also had Pascal-Diaconu and Hopkins-Ornelas among others.

Good news. With just 6 shows its clear this is a trial run, hopefully it pulls the ratings to become a regular thing. Versus had some good fights the first time around(Adamek-Cunningham was one) but ultimately Arum(who got most of the dates) ran the show into the ground. He was obssessed with putting Tye Fields and Yuri Foreman on all he could and later admitted he messed the whole thing up.

I'm not crazy about Main Events getting all 6 cards but if they learned from Arum's mistakes they can make some nice fights with 100,000. ESPN works with around 35,000 and I think ShoBox is about 40-50,000 so 100,000 gives Versus some clout.

    Ah, forgot about Adamek-Cunningham.

Just noticed what you said about Main Events. Who exactly do they even have? Adamek, Judah, prospect Sadam Ali?

I don't think Main Events has the deepest roster so thats a negative but Dan Rafael said they were talking to other promoters about fights so it seems Main Events is in charge of the shows but they are willing to work with other promoters which is good. Their first show is possibly Jan 21, that would be an ideal date for Adamek's next fight, I don't kow if thats the plan but it would be a good way to kick of these cards by putting together a good heavyweight fight.

main events are smart promoters i don't see them milking this like old bob did.they can't afford to blow this like top rank could
