In the last episode of 24/7 Nacho mentioned he has to control him self and not get excited, he said he tends to get excited between rounds 5-7 something like that... marquez at this stage I think will put up a good fight but feel he might loose tko in the later rounds..pacs power now is the difference and I think marquez could only take so much .

He's got all himself to blame. Like you said he went to Indonesia for $35K when he could have easily fought Pac for a rematch at a much higher purse and world recognition.

Also check out what Marquez had been doing during the time when Pac and Morales were breaking each others' faces. He fought guys that I could not even remember the names..:patsch

Here I thought it was his biggest asset.

The thing with Marquez is much more simpler actually. The guy is a breed of warrior that you don't see much today. The likes of Morales and Barrera. He doesn't care about winning on points or outboxing his opponents en route to easy UD and that's why he is going to be remembered as one of the toughest ******* of this era. Even if it cost him fights that he should have won, the man is willing to put everything on the line to please his fans and the boxing audience.
Only thing I reproach him was his career management back then. He made questionable decisions at the time he fought Manny in 2003 but he did a great job since then.

Third fight is gonna be much closer than what most people think, because of the weight I guess, but there are no fighters that know each other as well as those two so weight class is not really relevant here. Also, I think JMM's body is now ready for the division unlike the Mayweather fight where he was his welterweight debut.

    Can't wait.

He is of a special breed. This is the type of fighter that to me are the legends. Guys like Morales when winning a UD was a sure thing but they went out of their way to entertain us and get our moneys worth.

I have never regreted buying a Morales or JMM PPV.
PBF and Hopkins though it seems like every other one you regret buying.

    Especially their last fight.

Morales turning southpaw against Manny in the twelve round is just something that describe how far the man is willing to go to entertain.
Not even the pathetic Roy Jones could understand it : "sounds dumb to me..." he said.

I believe that Marquez can very well win this fight. All he needs to do (which is easier said than done) is remain on his feet throughout the course of 12 rounds, and do more than he's done in the last fight. Take less punches, while landing more. Marquez has the technique and ring IQ to take Manny Pacquiao to the very limit. He won more rounds but the KD's made the difference. Use his ring generalship, remain on his feet, and box smart. He has a good shot at winning and anyone who thinks it will be a whitewash is crazy. Why do you think Manny Pacquiao has been hiding from him for so long? He knows that he's a tough customer and one hell of a fighter.

I remember someone mentioning how Marquez changed his style so he could be more fan friendly.

I've never seen a group of fans (groupies) who would lie so much for their idol...:yep

First of all, the MAIN reason why Pac-JMM II didn't happen was because Arum got greedy and preferred to put Morales in against Pac, and gave Morales a much higher pay day than what he was offering JMM....But Arum knew Morales-Pac would be a more lucrative pay day for him at the end as he was much more marketable and famous than JMM...

JMM was only asking for 250K more to start negotiations, it's not like he said 1Mil or nothing...he started his negotiations at 1mil and then a few weeks later when Morales was bitter for losing to Barrera in the trilogy, he went to Top Rank, asked Arum to make the Pac fight ASAP, and Arum dropped everything and got to working on the Pac-Morales fight.

JMM's team continued trying to persuade Pac's team to take the rematch, but Pac's team deemed it to damn risky, and felt they had gone too far to risk losing again. So JMM's team decided to fight and beat Chris John to become Pac's mandatory, and force Pac to finally fight JMM....

    Manny Pac-JMM I happened in 2004
    Chris John-JMM happened in 2006
Manny Pac-JMM II happened in 2008

So please stop with the bull**** lies ****ing groupie.

:huh No way. JMM didnt want a rematch just like he didnt want the trilogy right away. JMM was offered more money for the trilogy but Manny ended up having to fight Juan Diaz after Nacho declined. This business wouldve been over a long time ago if JMM was smart and taken the money after the rematch.
