Don't even bother, at least 5 people have pointed this out to him and continues to insist that the fight should be at Cowboy Stadium for some reason.

How will it not? No way can Arum sell the public on the fight not getting made because Mayweather reserved the MGM grand for May 5th. That's the most logical place and date for this fight. Arum has been going around telling everyone that the testing is no longer an issue. He's now been selling the public on the idea that Mayweather is scared of Pac and doesn't want the fight. Well, if Mayweather is going around saying he wants the fight, and even goes as far as booking a date and place, then how can Arum convince people that Mayweather doesn't want the fight?

If this fight is going to happen, I wish it would be in a bigger venue. Bigger place means more people are going to see it live; and possibly in much lower prices. MGM is a fine place; but have too few seats for fight of this magnitude.

Smart business move, lock down the best possible date for the yr. So with or without Pac he can at least have the best date. Pac has to fight him if he wants the best date for the yr.

backtrack to what arum said. given his history with floyd and how he has taken all this.

"And who are they to say what date that the fight would be held? What kind of of negotiation is that? So, if the MGM gave them May 5, then, Manny may fight somebody else in April in Texas or in the Thomas and Mack. This is not the way to make a deal."

As much as the casinos/hotels etc do for boxing, there's no way they are letting this fight out of Vegas...no ****ing way.

But that's clearly a great date and place to have the fight.. The question is will people really listen to Arum and believe this is Mayweather not wanting the fight? Or will they see that this is no reason to not make the fight, and if it's his reason it's clear he's avoiding the fight for whatever reason.?

great points brought up by the big fella. but in terms of priority, the dancing partner should be first. there is no use in locking in a good date if he fights someone who he'll do significantly less with. and he just jeopardized that by irating the scumbag arum.

Everybody involved in making this fight need to put their ego's aside and do whatever it takes to get this fight made for the fans who made them all rich.

Before he does that......isn't it important to first confirm whether he acknowledges and believes Arum and Team Pac's acceptance of the drug tests?

I thought that was the single-handed thing that was preventing the fight from happening?

"well remember this"....what a ****in piece of ****..

perfect date set aside...plenty of time to train and promote(although this one promotes itself)......but how dare a young black millionaire actually dictate when he wants to fight....how dare the kid who left arums company to become a megastar on his own dictate when this fight is going to happen....this old white jew isnt going to let that happen! die arum!

You'd have to be a boderline ******ed to believe that the Thomas & Mack center is a more desireable location than the MGM Grand. Arum is a master manipulator, but he's going to have a hard time convincing people that it's reasonable for Pacquiao to turn down the fight becasue he would rather fight in April in the Thomas and Mack Center or Texas. Pacquiao's last 2 fights(including his upcoming one) have been in Vegas and they both did much better numbers at the gate than his Texas fights. Pacquiao has been fighting twice a year. So there's no good reason he can't fight May 5th. That's a much more desireable date than an April fight. I think it's funny that people have been claiming that Mayweather will throw out roadblocks, yet Arum is the one claiming Mayweather's legal issues(inlcuding a lawsuit that Pacquiao filed against him) and the date and venue could prevent the fight.
