Not sure if this opponent will be any easier then McCall. We'll see what sort of shape Jason Gavern is in. But like McCall, he'll have the experience edge over Wach.

I've never seen the guy but he's been knocked out before. Based on that alone I'd say he's probably easier for Wach than McCall as against Oliver Wach would most likely have to go 12 rounds, maybe get frustrated.

Not saying much really. Walker was gassed after the 3rd round, and Quezada has some pop, but little else.

I actually thought McCall would be a decent test for Wach, see if his power is legit, but Gavern is sparked out inside 6 here....definitely a step back for Maruisz.:-(Too bad they couldn't get Rodriguez or Welliver in there. Both would make excellent opponents for Wach, and both would take a huge win away if they could stop him themselves.:blood

:rofl How does it feel to be a huge step down from a great-grandfather?

Someone ask Jason before he gets concussed into being useless for conversation for the rest of 2011.

No way this will be easy for Wach. If Wach does get the KO within 6 then he's the real deal.

I guess I don't think of Gavern as the type of dude who stays in the gym all the time but hopefully I'm wrong. He upset Quezada, got draws against Banks and Walker. Wach shows ballz to fight Gavern on short notice.

Were you being serious or simply mocking me for not appreciating the little things Gavern does well inside the circle.

Let's be honest here IB, JG is a decent Cclass fighter, and like Firtha and Wiggins can give a performance which might lead a fan to think they are something moreso. But reality is that Wach has far more tools than the likes of Walker or Quezada, and even if J brings his best Bgame, he's still finding himself on the long end of a Wach jab and cross/straight.

I know it's been eons ago, but rewatch the Malcomn Tann fight. Gavern was about 10-0, 12-1 or something in that fight. Since that fight, the blueprint has been drawn up on how to beat him IMO, and bigger guys like Wach or Fury could easily exploits those weakness IMO.
