floyd and his team say they want the pacman on may 5th 2012

  1. That's fair, you've got to weigh up the manner of victory against the quality of opponent.

Pacquiao's wafer thin SD win over Marquez easily tops anything he's done since then, perhaps with the exception of beating Cotto.

A bit like football, beating Man City 1-0 is better than beating Leeds 5-0, and so on.

    :good

I agree with you, and at risk of coming off as a complete pedant, someone earlier on said that résumé now appears in the Oxford English Dictionary: yes, it does these days, but it has been adopted from American English. Résumé is the direct US equivalent of the English-usage term CV, but an increasing number of the American versions of words have found their way into UK English dictionaries. So now résumé is technically correct, but is of American origin (via France, obviously, just as CV is from the Latin, but go with me!) so is not popular in many quarters in the UK.

So résumé is, these days, technically correct in the UK but not original to us. I much prefer CV and would never use résumé... not that anyone on here cares about that but I've started this so thought I might as well finish.

Anyway, sorry to keep this strand going at the expense of the latest Pac-PBF thread. Back to topic, I am not sure that Floyd wants that fight, but hope that the lure of money and legacy tempt him to do it. I think that Pac does want the fight and would undergo the drug tests to make it happen, at this point.

I think that Floyd's legacy is more at risk should it not happen, as the net perception is that he has avoided it, and when it comes to history, perception is the most important single element. Many an invasion is no longer considered such by history, principally because the invader won, after all..!

I'm on the shitter just to get away from my desk as I need to ask a genuine question: do steroids change the shape of your head?

So are we saying that steroids can change the shape of the bone, or is it just that muscles on your face expand? Like David Coulthard and Minnie Driver?

    finally someone said it

its only factually recorded to change someones Jaw shape - where did all this head stuff come about?

Can someone provide a credible source with a link of the causation link between steriod intake (and steroid is an incredibly blanket term) and growth in head size?

Barry Bonds is the most commonly quoted example. Cant post pics but have a look & see

Also, perhaps unrelated, but Pac has 8" wrists (thicker than Tyson who has big wrists himself)

i dont care about pictures of barry bonds, thats just us looking at photos and speculating - sometimes my head looks bigger in some photos and iv never ever seen a steroid

    A proper study, a doctor?

and now Pacs wrists are proof or steroid use!?

    I'm not a real Dr;)

Bonds is a proven steroid cheat. There are photos before & after he took roids & his head grows & changes shape.

    Its not evidence/proof, jussayin

Have a look at some of these female body builders - the jaws are spectacular.

And by definition, a change to the shape of your jaw would mean a change to the shape of your head as the jaw forms part of your head.

As I say, Pacman was drawn in the face, even at 130. Not proof to him not using 'Roids of course, he was a massive Flyweight though!

Typical Floyd. When did Floyd announce his fight with Marquez? On the same day as Pac-Hatton. Floyd also launched a foul-mouthed rant on Pac before Pac's fight with Margarito, & now he says he wants to fight on May 5 2 weeks before Pac steps in the ring. It irritates him that Pac gets a lot of attention, he's always trying to deflect attention from a Pac fight, very, very insecure.

im not sure about anabolic steroids but i dont think we should be asking about those as their use in boxing is very limited, however HGH can certainly change a persons head size, this mixed with insulin seems to be the drug of choice for athletes with similar requirements to boxers. when lance armstrong came back from his cancer spell his shoe size went up 3 sizes, they say this was down to the copious amounts of HGH he needed to take to help his body cope with all the steroids and EPO he was taking
