Which fighters will be remembered the most in 25 years? Whose legend will grow?

    It seems that only a handful of fighters from each generation are really remembered and studied by later generations. Our generation remembers guys such a leonard, hearns, hagler, duran, arguello, pryor, taylor, chavez from the previous generation. Heavyweights tend to stick out more from generation to generation. Guys like Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe, Lewis have all stood the test of time and will continue to do so. I feel the fighters from our generation that will be remembered particularly are:

    Oscar
    Mayweather
    Hamed
    Barrera
    Morales
    Gatti
    Marquez
    Roy Jones
    Mosley
    Cotto
    Hopkins

    at Heavyweight, the only notable fighters during our era I feel are the K bros. Maybe Sanders will be remembered for such a shocking victory. Guys like Brewster, Peter and such wont have too much of a legacy, despite being good fighters.

    Who else will stand the test of time and whose legacy will grow?

    Gatti and Pac

    Gatti is really the last white action fighter that became popular we've had

    maybe he stays that way and his legend grows

    yupp.... somehow forgot Pac hahah.... he no doubt will be remembered at legendary status. Hatton should be rememebered as well, particularly in the UK. Calzaghe I am not so sure.... I think he was truly a great fighter and I am one of the few people on this forum that is a Calzaghe fan... however I feel that his somewhat abrupt retirement may have hurt his long term standing even though he was like 36 when he retired... I think he needed a few more big fights.

    could also put morgaya down for being a crazy ****er (if you got a video just for all your smack talk people might remember you) think katsidis could also go down just for being a warrior
