Actually, I'm rather surprised and impressed by the OP. It's a good post and well measured.
I do think that he may have avoided some of the realities about the past fight wear and tear effect on Johnson's performance, and that he really can come into the fight as an old man. To me, even though he was competitive, he started looking old in the Froch fight.

Still, you don't have to call me MR., when a simple KING or SIR would suffice.

Magic, I just want you on record as giving Bute his dues for taking this fight. If Bute is Victorious, be a man of your word and don't come on here after the fact saying he picked an old, shot fighter.

Bute will prove that Johnson is old and shot.

Nice twisted statement that suits your agenda of downplaying Bute's accomplishments. ;)

How would you rate Johnson's handspeed in the Green fight? In the Froch fight? Would you not say he had more than a few moments of effective aggression considering his style? How was Froch not able to do that in the first place (proving he's "shot")? Double standards - the classic 'his previous opponent took it all outta him', cool.

If Bute were to beat Kessler, would you say Bute proved it was Kessler's time to retire, shot status etc? GTFO.

That's exactly why up and coming fighters should face young competitive peers first, before picking on the old square worn journeymen. The latter never really answer the tough questions all fans are asking.
Had Bute participated in the S6, we would have much more comprehension of Bute's real technical standings then a decision win over Johnson.
In my mind, Johnson was always a B level fighter.

STFU you dumbfukk. How are you even arguing anything I said anyway?!??

Go tell Showtime execs they had an old square worn journeyman in their semis. They'll you to kindly fukk off.

Johnson's abilities/attributes made it so he scored a KO over Allan Green. The same guy Andre Ward wrestled for 12 rounds. :yep

Bute was an HBO fighter willing and looking for an Andrade rematch in order to clear his name -seems you didn't get the memo- so was rightfully not considered for the S6. Besides, he's in a grey area being European and fighting out of North America. It was Sauerland's MW/SMW stable vs Showtime's prospects in the US. End of.

That B level fighter landed the right hand on Froch quite a bit by the way.

    Troll away now. :hi:

Nice job, MrMagic, your analysis seems pretty accurate to me. I'd add that Bute delivers his left uppercut only when his opponent has compromised himself. Johnson would have to become a really good feinter to fool him but nothing is impossible.

What can I say Judy, but some fans (mostly English, Polish, or Canadian) are in lust with their fighters, while the rest of us just love the sport.

Johnson got a KO over a man fighting with 25% of his intestines. Wow!
At one point, perhaps 10-12 years ago Green had potential.
Following that major operation he had where they removed his gut, I'm surprised he's even still fighting. Makes me wince every time I see him take a body shot.

You saying Bute skipped the S6 for a chance to rematch that bum Andrade. ROFLMBAO!!!! That shet don't even make sense.

You can keep your place in line on your knees for a chance to suck Bute off.
LOL, that's what ***s do, but don't force your homo ways on the rest of us, you slimy chinned fuk! :good
