Mayweather challenges Pacquiao to a duel on May 5th. Will Manny show up?

How i see it is both camps want the fight so as long as they dont have to bow down to the other. Mayweather has been calling the shots in every negotiation since beating de la hoya and same thing with pac. Both camps feel they are the face of boxing and dont 'need' eachother.

I see this announcement as Floyd putting his foot down saying look im going to fight who i want when i want. Its also a challenge. The ol meet me in the street at high noon and lets dance 'little fella' except the street is the MGM android high noon is cinco de mayo.

Is this the best way to go about negotiating? Probably not. But it does tell the world, 'look, im staying active and the fight i want and am persuing is what the fans have all been waiting for.' It also tells mannys camp, 'hey i fight whoever i want, whenever i want and whereever i want, with my terms, take it or leave it.'

Dont you all recall when bob set up that stupid conference call? Saying mayweather had till midnight to agree to fight manny on a set date (nov 13) and venue (dallas or vegas) or else they were moving on?(link provided below) SAME EXACT scenario here however its the Mayweathers calling the shots again. it dont matter, both guys need to swallow their pride. I think Pac is ready to do that because his own people want him to.

If Mayweather beats the **** out of Manny we rank him alongside Sugar Ray Leonard. If Manny beats the **** out of Floyd we rank him alongside Henry Armstrong. If its close we get a ****ing hell of a trilogy
