If it was any other FW, I'd say the idea was ridiculous. Gamboa however, is special.

i actually give gamboa a decent shot

i think gamboa's unofficial weight for de leon was 138

if gamboa can keep his distance and pick his shots, he can get a dec. win

According to The Scene, if Brandon Rios is unable to make a quick turn around after his fight with Murray, then a Gamboa-Rocky Martinez fight is the back-up plan at 130 pounds in February.

If Gamboa were naturally 135 pounds, I'd favor him clearly. Rios's physical strength and considerable size advantage may do Gamboa in though.

I doubt this fight happens, but it would be great if it did.

Rios will completely own Gamboa though if it does, imo. Gamboa will either quit or get stopped... either by the ref or his corner throws in the towel.

Arum doesn't want Gamboa anywhere near his cash cow JuanMa knowing he'll probably win without becoming a cash cow himself - and so he's willing to sacrifice him to a potential cash cow in Rios whose size and strength advantage is great enough to allow Arum to take that risk in this instance.

Don't blame Bob on this idea it came directly from Gamboa and his manager they want big fights physically looks like a mismatch.

    At 135 or 140?

Either way, Gamboa will be in a war.
