The 0.55 uppercut knockdown of Parker, certainly aint no long range uppercut. Mid-range, without question.
Marquez is definitely one of the only fighters from this generation that can throw a lead left uppercut from the outside and use it well, but plenty of fighters have thrown uppercuts from the outside.Ray Robinson and gavilan whip in uppercuts to the body from the outside in nearly every fight. Benvenuti and Kalambay had great right uppercuts from the outside, Kalambay would use it as most would use a counter-right at times.
I'm trying to send one of the little photo clips of Marquez throwing punches. How do I send it again?
Good thread. I feel that between the most skilled it's between Barrera & Marquez. With ranking I dunno, they're too close and hard to rank.
