Sasha Bakhtin vs. Luis Melendez, 10 rounds @ SBW.

This was originally going to be a 12 rounder with some version of some title on the line between Bakhtin and Leon Moore.

Ugh, I just hope this fight is competitive, but more than likely Bakhtin will box circles around Melendez and win bu decision. As Bakhtin has no power.

    Round 1

Bakhtin rocks back and forth above the hip, a bit jerky as he throws string-bean jabs at the equally lanky Melendez. These are some real cat-o-nine-tails physiques on display. Bakhtin is in complete control, tooling Melendez with jabs and hard right crosses between the gloves. Melendez keeps a tightly pinned guard close to his face but is getting rocked back several steps at a time as Bakhtin comes forward with his straight and simple but effective combos. BIG flurry by Bakhtin has Melendez in trouble on the ropes. Melendez answers with a looping right to the body, enraged.

    10-9 Bakhtin

Well, aye, may'be Melendez will get stopped. He threw about a total of two punches in that round.

    Bakhtin doing whatever he wants.

I really like his jab, never seen him before but that stick is punishing.

    Today I'm a receptionist. :p

(not the world's friendliest one, either. People keep interrupting and forcing me to minimize all my open browser windows and it's making me grumpy)

    Round 2

Bakhtin surges on behind more straight power shots with both of the sinewy reeds he has for arms. Target practice for Bakhtin, who is putting his full weight behind these shots and generating no less thunder with the left than the right...barely recognizable as a jab. Melendez is hanging in there, trying to answer back where he can but getting blasted and frequently put on the ropes.

    20-18 Bakhtin
