Is Floyd booking the MGM just another method of ducking by dictating time and place?

Yes this is Floyd's way of ducking Pacquiao by booking the most lucrative weekend of the year at the same place Floyd has had his last few fights and where Pacquiao just fought and is about to fight in a week

I was really looking forward to this fight, but Floyd ruined it.

Mayweather is not going to fight in Dallas. Not to mention we have seen the trouble Dallas has had with events. Not enough hotels not enough night life around the stadium.

The fight belongs in vegas its going to be in vegas. Even Freddy says the fight belongs in Vegas. Mayweather is fighting at the MGM on May 5th Manny can fight him or somebody else will step up to the plate

it's not about mgm grand per se. if it\s pac that he really wanted to fight, its soliciting everyones proposal to get the most offer of whoever is going to win, i mean the bidding process of determining the right venue.

i mean how the hell is mgm going to pay more if it already knew it has secured the venue without even having the negotiation in the first place.

lets say, jones make an offer 3 times the mgm offer, what happens then?

he is negotiating in bad faith. this is a way of setting up more road blocks by appearing to be trying to make the fight. either arum says "**** you floyd, you dont dictate ****" or, they call his bluff and floyd moves on to the next plan of avoidance. i will throw out a lifetime ban bet that floyd fights neither pac or martinez on may 5th 2012.

In case you forgot... He also said before "Pacquiao you're next!"

    :hi: accepted

But it has to be Floyd's fault and no freak accidents or Arum just being Arum and turning down the fight

Jones can't make an offer 3 times higher than the MGM grand. There is no way he could recoup the money. If someone can make a higher bid than the MGM Grand, then they would have to go to that venue. However, the Vegas casinos can put up the most money because of all the high rollers the fight would attract.

you havent provided the exact quote from floyd, still.

floyd had been quoted before, words like "pac you are next, dont put....", remember this? he just shrugged it off like nothing.

now we have the same situation, only, no quotes from floyd.
