    I did? how did I make the KO sound "automatic" you're pointing out in a hypothetical world that McEwan A. would have won a decision but that didn't happen because the fight ended inside the distance .. making that decision comment irreverent

    B. I could say if McEwan knocked down Lee instead if getting dropped himself he would have won by KO

    but neither scenario (A or B) happened so what does it brings to the table?

    is the knockout supposed to count less because Lee would have lost a decision?

    and for what it's worth .. **the scorecards were 86-84 85-85 85-85 with McEwan ahead on 1

    so I don't think McEwan winning by decision was a sure thing. But he did give Andy Lee a good fight ... so he should bring more to the table then say a Jesse Brinkley

    It's a regional thing, the progression in British boxing is sort of "win a local title", "win a national title", "Win British title", "Win European or Commonwealth", "head towards world"

    Saunders hunches over and throws a lazy right jab, peering up at Boulden. Slapping right hook catches Boulden on the face as he circles and pecks in with a 1-2. Saunders is spinning on his tip toes and throwing punches in bunches out at Boulden. Jabs landing very sharply for Saunders. Boulden keeps circling right and then diving in to try and hold. Saunders is landing jabs regularly, even as Boulden ducks and blocks. Boulden tries to crouch down and spring forward but rams headlong into a jab between the eyes, still trying to follow through with his intended uppercut to the body anyway but not catching Saunders. Boulden circles left and pecks with the 1-2, catching arm or nothing at all and then opening up with a big wide hook that falls several inches shy. Saunders jabs the body and then tilts back with his arms crossed protectively across his lanky front side, making Boulden miss.

    Wait - so before his last fight, Boulden was 4-2-2 and coming off a loss and somehow got a crack at a regional titlist who was 25-7??? :?
