    Round 1

Boulden circles out wide, doing himself no favors as he has to overreach with his pecking 1-2 (barking as he throws them). Saunders leans over, curling his spine as he launches jabs and overhand lefts along with some odd backhand lefts to cinch up his flurries as he backs Boulden up to the corner. Hard right jab up high by Saunders. FLUSH left hand from the hip by Saunders. Boulden is reaching across with his jabs and rights but having little impact on the rare occasion that he does get the craft on the runway. Saunders is curling up, ducking and rolling while countering effectively. Boulden throws a wild hook into the back of Saunders' arm and then backs far off. Saunders walks him down, and slips some jabs with ease.

    20-18 Saunders

Boulden looks non prepared for a south paw, he's moving the wrong way constantly.

    Round 3

Boulden is very hyperactive on the outside, jerking from side to side. Lunging jabs and rights to the body by Boulden, not coming close. Saunders is just waiting on him, not pressuring or countering...just leaning back and putting for the minimal effort required to slip Boulden's straight-on attacks. HUGE right upper-hook by Saunders just narrowly misses Boulden circling. Saunders blocks a jab and comes forward. Saunders has his shoulders drooping, looking like all the air's been let out of him in a very loose slouching-over posture. Saunders jabs up at Boulden casually and backs him up. Boulden keeps employing too much movement with everything but his feet. Nice right hand lead by Boulden, but it's his only good shot so far. Boulden starts to showboat! Hands down behind his back, marching in big exaggerated steps! Saunders walks up and whacks him. He falls, not a knockdown.

    30-27 Saunders

At least Box Nation don't feel the need to apologise for bad language in the corner after every interval.

    Round 4

Saunders comes forward banging, landing a HARD straight left! Boulden is on ***** St.! Saunders is throwing some hard lefts, one after the other. Boulden is forced to hold. Clubbing right hook across the back of the head by Saunders. Boulden dives and throws his arms around Saunders' waist. A break is forced and Saunders sprays leather at Boulden, missing as the discipline of his work breaks down a bit in his fervor. Boulden is ducking and skittering back to the ropes, then diving in to hold, negative. 1-2 off the ropes by Boulden, blocked. Some slapping underhand body shots by Boulden again springing off the ropes and then running by. Saunders isn't attacking anymore, just coming forward and leaning to one side to watch Boulden. A few big uppercuts and an overhand hack by Saunders miss as Boulden keeps running.

    40-36 Saunders

Wow, I really was not intending to get into a back and forth.

But since you brought it up, if you watched the fight, the only scorecard worth a damn at the time of stoppage is the one that had McEwan up 86-84.
