    Saunders comes forward, blocking many a 1-2 on his high guard as he stands up a bit straighter now. Boulden is throwing with purpose now, landing an uppercut to back Saunders up briefly to the ropes. Left hook to the body by Saunders. Time out. Boulden's glove tape is coming apart. Time in. Big overhand left by Saunders catches Boulden backing up. Body shot by Saunders, and a shot upstairs by Boulden. Rushing into the ropes, Boulden bounces his back off of them like a pro wrestler and then stamps his feet across the ring with high kick-steps. The crowd boos his antics. Saunders smacks him with a right jab in the face. Saunders presses with a southpaw 1-2, and puts Boulden on the ropes. Boulden runs in and chops at Saunders en route to perhaps an attempted clinch.

    yeah I probably care too much, but from an opponent perspective McEwan should be much more live when compared to say Jesse Brinkley .. both were coming off KO losses going into facing Kid Chocolate but I'd have to figure McEwan has more left at this point

    since the fight finished inside the distance, do the scorecard really matter? McEwan could have won every round for what it's worth, a knockout loss is a KO loss.

    But McEwan did have a good showing vs Andy Lee and I might have been a bit quick to write him off simply because he lost vs Lee.

    Saunders presses on with right jabs up top and left uppercuts vine-swinging across to the body. Boulden is running and spoiling. Lots of knee-bending and bouncing on the outside by Boulden, and lots of unnecessary arm fluctuation. Saunders is only taking small steps toward him, in no hurry to cut off the ring. Boulden is free to run around as he likes, making no attempt to engage at all. Boulden eats a big left hand lead from the hip standing near the limits of Saunders' reach. Time out, mouth piece. Time in. Boulden snaps a few jabs, but nothing serious.

    Saunders is giving reluctant chase, loping along as Boulden prances off and throws a lead right only when skirting the corners. Saunders has yet to land. 1-2 to the body by Boulden, far too short. Saunders edges in and lands a body shot, then a pair of claps to the back as Boulden turns away. Scooping left to the belt line by Saunders. Boulden backs up to the ropes and pecks with a 1-2, too short. BIG left hand by Saunders!! Boulden tries to clinch but gets banged up close with an uppercut!! Boulden runs. Saunders chases, misses a jab. BIG left hand! Boulden sprints away! Saunders trots after him and opens up! Combo on Boulden against the ropes!
