brits are funny, they put so much in fighters who obviously aren't good.

I think we need to hold our horses on calling Liam alright just for now...come on lets just look at at the family to know that we should perhaps reserve our judgement.

Though Paul is a giant pillock and Stephen got 2 very lucky wins over Simpson...and then acted as if he should have won all 12 rounds of both fights...when Liam gets some more attention lets hope he doesn't get a big head...

**another thing I noticed about Quillin is he seems to move a lot between Super Middle and 160, and has more career fights at Super MW. **though tonight's fight according to espn and boxrec will be at Middleweight

and if I'm not mistaken Peter has talked about fighting Sergio Martinez, so it seems his short term future will be smaller fights at Super MW and the bigger ones @ Middle

well with Martinez trying to get back his title from Chavez, and Rubio currently sitting #1 in the

at 160, he'd be a very solid choice of opponent as Rubio is very experienced and brings a high ranking with him

with that all covered, now back to our regular scheduled programing of providing round by round

thx for the play by play and keep it going

Quillen said he's a middleweight and turned Bute down. Think he's been fighting "under 164" as it's a weight he can make with out draining too much...or something

    Round 1

Bowen tries to paw in with a left jab but is backed off by a straight left from the undefeated southpaw. Good chopping shots by Carman whenever Bowen gets too near. Bowen insists on jabbing his way in but it just isn't working for him. Straight counters from Carman like a coiled adder waiting to strike. Bowen gets inside and clinches. Bowen misses some jabs and gets his head rocked by counters. Bowen paws with high jabs and misses over Carman's right shoulder. Bowen finally lands on Carman with an over-the-top shot but winds up laying atop him in a smothering clinch and can't get any more shots off. Carman backs up and ducks a few reaching shots by Bowen. Left hook lands for Bowen. Clinch. Left hook by Bowen.

    10-9 Carman

The BN guys gave the opener to Bowen, but his best work came in the last twenty seconds.

I dug Witter's style. Started following the division when he was burning out though. Technically Jamaican.

    Round 2

Bowen is charging in and pumping his 1-2 limply at Carman's guard. Carman ties him up and backs off, staying behind a right jab. Bowen starts to back up and Carman advances by the smallest of increments, cautious. Bowen is winging out wide shots and not landing but backing Carman to the ropes. The commentators are really impressed with Bowen for some reason. His punching technique is awful, but they're in love with his work rate. Carman is caught with a high jab to the face while getting lazy with his own down low. Clinch. Bowen thrusts his jab in and Carman counters with his own while tilting his head to the side, but doesn't make any effort at any more meaningful counter. Flurry by Bowen pushes Carman to the ropes.

That round was Bowen's, Carman just didn't do anywhere near enough.

    19-19

Since the poster said Afro American, Witter would be considered Afro Carribean (like I am) he was born in the UK to Jamaican parents (like me lol).

Hopefully not. Its to early for Groves and Degale have a rematch. They should keep fighting, and then wait till the top of the super middleweight division settles down. Because none of them got a chance against Froch,Bute,Kessler,Ward
