Burns beat Katsidis in a closer than the cards said in a good fight. Boxed on the backfoot well.

    Groves sparked Smith in 2.

Burns wins UD against Kats, fast paced fight with Burns quality punching winning against Katsidis workrate. Nothing spectacular but a entertaining affair.

Smith started ok, Groves got caught at end of round and looked annoyed and bit shocked, Next round (round 2) pulls out a peach of a right hand and decks Smith twice on way to second round stoppage impressive finish.

Burns is one of the nicest fellas in the game. I'm really happy for him.

Make a rematch I say, because Groves in all likelihood won't fight on the back foot to the same extent again, and there's nobody I'd rather see spark out DeGale than Groves. I wonder if he'll get the same fanfare Chunky did after beating Smith?:think If slapping him to defeat in nine makes you a world class fighter than what does this mean?

I truely felt Burns could win this(wasn't that confident either way however), and he did what he needed to really, Katsidis getting inside him was inevitable, so he had to get his shots off first and then smother Mikey when he got in there. I think Katsidis is a bit past it, but I won't discredit Burns, Kats was actually better than I thought he would look, and Ricky was significantly better than I thought he would look. Congrats to him, I just hope certain posters here don't go overboard.

He is merely keeping the bed warm for Goldern Boy and helping to keep the lad busy. He will step up next year and go stateside imo.

Destroying Paul 'the myth' Smith in devastating fashion is a massive statement.

For record this similar to the reasoning why I believe Pac beats Floyd. Just the way Pac deals with common opponents like.

It was nice to see Groves dismantle a guy who to Degale longer. Now it would be nice to see Degale take on a hard, live opponent in Anderson and do what Groves has done tonight and fight a common opponent to draw comparisons.

I'm just glad Big Larry pulled out. I would've stuck a hefty wage on Chisora and Katsidis by KO, what a mistake that would've been.

Enzo looks thin in the face. I hope he's not overdone the weight making.

As much as i understand this he stopped a man who he stopped later, lads boxing doesn't work like that. It was a fantastic punch and Groves will always be the better puncher of the two plus be better offensively. There evenly matched lads and tonights win doesn't change that.

We can go through past and go but he beat him in 5th and he did it in 2nd and when they meet it's totally different.
