 Listen i ain't got a problem with fella he hates DeGale i hate Groves are either gonna go that far? at this moment i'm not so sure either man will. Just don't like way he takes it as a personal thing. I'm entitled to have a opinion on Groves and nothing i said was of a hateful nature just stating i think Kenny could still create problems for him. Ie-I still feel Groves defensively hasn't improved as much as many thought.

Thanks for the compliment though mate none the less :good

I see what your saying but you can only beat what's infront of you and Groves ruined Smith whereas Degale pitter-pattered a stoppage.

Mate I guarantee you with all my word that Degale could not deal with Anderson in less rounds or even win. He just ain't all that mate, posturing and pretense does not make a fighter. Your a good reader of the game but you got Degale wrong, he just ain't all that. Neither is Groves whom imho will never be world level but is still alot better and more promising than Groves.

Nah, I bitched out and picked neither if I'm being honest. It's in the ''Who do you think will win'' thread, basically I said it kind of hinged on how much Katidis had left, and that I couldn't pick a winner.

I don't want to big myself up.

I'm aware of that, I was being sarcastic. My point is I somehow doubt Groves will receive anywhere close to a modicum of the acclaim DeGale did, further highlighting the fact that a substantial amount of people here spunked all over Chunky for no good reason.

This further eradicates the myth DeGale had built up(that he was anything above an ok prospect with glaring flaws that everyone decided to disregard), and I'm rather content with it.

Burns won a tough fight, he started great taking the first 4 rounds or so then Katsidis upped the tempo, pinning Burns against the ropes over the next few rounds. Burns coped well, adopting a "Winky" like defence, catching many shots on the arms and elbows and was countering Katsidis well at times with hurtful body shots along with right uppercuts. He used the jab well when Katsidis took a rest and deserved the victory. Judges had it wider than they should have had it.

Groves looked uptight in Round One and although jabbing well he got caught right at the end by a Smith flurry.

However he came out in the second and caught Smith with a great right hook behind the jab, right on the button, Smith was all over the place but beat the count. Groves steamed in with a temple shot to finish it, good stoppage by the Ref and impressive stuff from the Saint.

And that's where my point falls to pieces

For record, Foreman was clueless that night and too egotistical. He he should of settled down and hunted for the head not the body. But hey, shoulda, woulda, coulda. Ali was the man and that fight was best win of any fighter of all time.

I do truly believe Pac ko's Floyd. Floyd of 3-4years back wins but not the Floyd of now.

Yeah gutted mate, I dunno just think Michael didn't have the spring in his work. Burns did well to nullify it and take sting out of it. He took centre ring from get go and slammed the jab out with authority.

Kats should look at a farewell fight, maybe here on a big undercard or back home and say fair well.

I hope he doesn't go up to 140lbs and make the weight a issue i generally think he's deteriorated. Who knows how hard he's taken his brother's loss to continue camp may have held the problem over a lot longer.

Personally in hindsight which is a wonderful thing as we all know i think Brendan would of been better saying 'take 7-8 months off' after JMM fight. Tick over in gym by all means but don't fight till your back sharp and focused.

In saying that Burns still beat a bloody good fighter tonight.

Frank did a fantastic job of hyping him. Degale is atrociously single handed. His left hook is a slapping cuff with no power and his defense is just shockingly poor the way he tucks his chin in slightly but doesn't shoulder roll enough so gets caught. Terrible, he wont improve till he ****s off that rat-faced **** McDonnel.
