Good post and agree, I thought DeGale would develop but sadly i think mentally the loss to Groves has lost him confidence.

Believe me that lad ain't as arrogant as most on here like to think he's sensitive to criticism remember his debut and the boos?. Next fight comes forward recklessly to put on a show. Anyone who knows him or has met him can vouch he's a really nice fella and comes across in bad light but as a man he's a good person. As a fighter a lot to learn..

 

Actually, I don't really "hate" DeGale: it's his fans I hate and the weird fantasyland they all seem to live in. I always give him his props - in fact after the fight against the Pole I made a post asking what he could do to be better. He's one of the UK's best prospects and I think the way he's being handled is awful. Go, look at my posts and, if you actually read the content instead of the rant, you'll see I'm pretty fair about him.

And yeah, I was aggressive to you there, but hey - you were hardly giving Groves props were you, especially considering what he just did not even an hour ago.

And :? regarding Hopkins? Hopkins is one of my favourite active fighters. I picked Pascal because Hopkins had looked **** in his last two fights. Pascal had just beaten Dawson. In the rematch I went for Pascal. I picked Hopkins over Dawson based on how good he looked against Pascal. Speaking to the guy had **** all to do with anything.

If Groves had lost tonight, there would be a lot of folk saying "See, told you DeGale was robbed!" It would just be nice if some of those same people said "Yeah, Groves has proved me wrong. Hopefully DeGale gets a chance at revenge."

 

Missed the fight so cant comment on his performance but Kats was favoured to win & hopefully got a decent pay check. If anyone deserves one its him.

He's had a very good career & I hope he goes out on a win & retires healthy

Pad-Man :good, I didn't see your post read it and i agree to a large extent just try be less mean about James please it hurts being wrong .

 

He comes across in a bad light because that's how he chooses to come off. If you act like a bellend then expected to be treated as such, don't use the 'I'm a nice guy in person' as an excuse as far as I'm concered. I get what you're saying and all but it's something I fail to comprehend. It's his own fault he comes across this way.
