I was about to say that the Boxnation stream has worked well for me tonight, but now all i can hear is the commentary and everything's out of sync...

Cracking fight between Burns and Katsidis tonight, I picked Katsidis to take a similar sort of decision that Burns ended up getting I thought he'd be able to land a lot more than he did coming forward, was very impressed with Burns' work of the back foot hitting Katsidis as he was coming and covering well on the ropes.

Shame that the Groves - Smith fight ended so quickly, I thought Groves would stop him but that it would be around the 8th round. Where next for Groves? He can defend his belts a couple more times but I don't see anyone on the domestic scene who can really stretch him. How about Brian Magee? Easy route for a world title of sorts...

Now, coffee so I can stay awake for the Bute - Johnson fight, anyone know roughly when it will start UK time?

Sucks that we get the Bute fight instead of Kirkland/Angulo. Ugh.

I find him a bit smug to be honest mate, not my type of lad. DeGale i mix everyday at work and in life with his type of lad. He's no rudeboy that's for sure. Part of my annoyance is way Groves stupid talk gets brushed under carpet. It started to grate and grate on me and i just ain't keen on lad in end. One of them guys who you can't take to sorta thing..

I hope that last bits not directed at me cos that's stupid, He got hits and i'd say slightly buzzed by that punch. He shouldn't be taking them sorta punches pure and simple. He took a lead right early doors as well. He defense hasn't improved that much IMO cos he's still fighting to wide and with a low left and relying on reflexes that ain't world class IMO is wrong.

Sutherland wasn't showing he was good as pro mate, i'm extremely sorry to say that may he RIP. I agree on the comfort zone totally and it's a reason i've lost patience with James.

Is anyone keeping an eye out for the HBO card? I'll be watching that once it starts if I'm still awake.

I had it absolutely clear for Burns, he can't be denied that no matter what they say on the general forum. I actually agree with the judges scores on this occasion. Burns left hook to the body was a thing of beauty, he whipped it in from far out but it was deadly accurate. Apart from that...the jab. Kat's problem was he could only work up close, he had absolutely no outside game which allowed Burns to rack up far too many easy points uncontested. When Kat did get close you could count the amount of clean punches on one hand. He was all hooks, Burns was well prepared with the ear muffs in. Plus Kat's right hand was abysmal, it was cuffed all night, poor technique. Not quite as good a job as Guerrero did on him but not a million miles off.

    As for Smith....:rofl

On another note, Molitor **** poor as we've come to expect now.

I always thought & still think that DeGale is the more natural fighter of the 2. There are times when he glides past punches & makes it look easy.

However, he doesnt do himself any favours everytime he speaks on camera. His punching technique is beyond awful & he doesnt seem self-aware enough to accept his weaknesses & improve them.

Yeah many say that but i can't take to lad like you with DeGale, from the silly grin to the little needly comments to DeGale which i can understand but he's not my type of person.

I'd rather have a laugh with DeGale then sit with Groves and talk about David Haye and Adam Booth and how much he looks up to them.

I was going to take issue with that first paragraph but the second one is bang on. DeGale still has a hell of a lot of flaws that don't seem to be getting worked on (like throwing a left hook).

BTW has Duke been drinking tonight?

Groves' column in the build-up to the Haye-Wlad fight was brilliant. I'd much rather listen to him than DeGale.

Caballero did seem to drain his confidence entirely. But did he really face anybody top notch? He's definitely declined but its hard to say how good he was pre-ass whooping.
