I watched all those fights, the only ones that bored me were the Narvaez and probably the Mthalane fights.

    I don't understand your logic.

Donaire barely lost a round in that fight and if you ever score a round for Narvaez, it would be even a round that could be debated. Yet he was exposed/

Some people coast to win and they are the greatest. Did Baldomir exposed Gayweather?

That's what you get with a counterpuncher sometimes, boring fights due to being too cautious. They're bound to happen. Lets hope Nonito keeps his promise of no more boring fights! :good

What don't you understand. I was clear in what I said.

Mayweather vs. Floyd was an adaption on Floyd's part to deal with a bigger man at 147. donaire was fighting a smaller man and fought terribly.

In my opinion he needs to be a warrior like Marquez and Morales.

Ditch that slick American style! real talk...slug it out for the peoples..

Yes, Mares is a defensive counterpuncher exactly like Narvaez so the result should be the same.

    /sarcasm

It is like football, if some sees that somebody was able to employ a strategy that gave you problems, they are going to emulate that.

Was Donaire having a problem in that fight? Because it seems like you are having that notion. There is no way that Narvaez could cause an upset. He tried to mix it up in round 4 (might be wrong) but he got wobbled. He settled to survive.

Donaire could have thrown 10 punches per round and still won.

    Your analogy is really weird.

The only analogy that is applicable is an extremely favored football team did not exactly bury an overmatched team by 100 points, instead he settled for 20 points by not employing a different strategy.

Yes in the beginning Donaire was have a lot of problems and I gave Navaez some early rounds, then towards the end Donaire won rounds just on activity, none of it greatly effective or intelligent.

Coach: "Mares, here's what we're gonna do. Yo gonna run and block punches and throw the occasional jab and lose round after round until we win the fight, got it?" Mares: "WTF?"
