Nonito Donaire is ONE DIMENSIONAL

Narvaez isn't better than Cordoba because he was undefeated prior to losing to Donaire. He's better than Cordoba because he just is. Plain to see by just watching them both in the ring.

 

Narvaez is technically better.

He just fought a bigger, younger, faster, harder puncher in Donaire.

BTW, the notion of Donaire being one dimensional is ridiculous. Yes, he is at his best as a counter puncher; however, he's capable of executing his offense either flat footed or on his toes. Don't know how people define "one dimensional", but that's two dimensions by my count.

 

Apparently if you don't KO your opponent, you suddenly become one-dimensional. Winning by wide margin does not cut it anymore.

Posters are even sugeesting Donaire should have gone to body more. Against a 5'3 fighter whose body is crouched and who is not exactly stationary.

 

IB made the point that Narvaez was committed to not getting hit which was spot on. I give Narvaez' defensive display more credit than I detract from Donaire's ineffective offense. His defense was quite impressive.

 

Narvaez has never been knocked down in his career. I don't care if he fought bums but that tells you he got very decent defense.

 

Yeah his career has been one dimensional, he only knows how to keep winning
