    Bute pushes up his right jab. Johnson stays back, straightening out his left jab firmly but slowly. Bute circles to his right, hiding his chin behind his right shoulder. Bute feints coming forward, waving his fists out side by side. Johnson throws a 1-2 to the body and falls short. Again. Bute parries the left jab with his right forearm coming up from his hip. Bute watches Johnson from a few feet away, stretching his upper body back. Johnson keeps lunging with jabs and rights, mostly to the body. Bute throws a quick left hand to the body from outside, just tickling. Johnson circles slowly right, steady on his legs but slow. Bute swings his right arm at his side, holding it out in front and popping jabs. Big right hook by Bute circumventing a Johnson jab, both get hit. Left hand straight lead by Bute. Johnson tries to sneak a quick jab on Bute. Right jab to the guard by Bute. Johnson is backed up by some Bute jabs. Johnson jab falls very short. Bute stays outside, leaned back. BIG LEFT hand by Bute. Another.

    Pretty clear round for Johnson IMO. Bute didn;t land anything until the last 10 seconds, Johnson was landing some good straight punches and jabs.

    Bute had to nice lefts at the end of the round but Johnson won Round 1 for me with his jab and rights to the body, he was able to establish the jab and touch the body repeatedly in the round and that won it for me.
