It did have Mr. Bang Bang Bang himself, though.

Funny, that he didn't use the phrase ONCE in this much more appropriate context (whereas I used it like ten times in my RBR descriptions )

    Lampley is a grade-A *******.

This fight along with LSU winning made this the best weekend I've had this year. This fight saved this pathetic weekend of boxing and both guys are legends after this. I do feel that Angulo might not ever be the same though.

Hmmm... lol you know what... Kirkland may have a dent in his armor similar to the Great Joe Frazier. Frazier in the 1st/2nd was most vulnerable... I think the same exist for Kirkland... most people should try to get him out early intelligently or they going to have a tough fight, because he gets his legs underneath him.

He didn't have the ability to outbox him, didn't you notice Kirkland was actually "outboxing" him. beating with the jab and mixing up his attacks upstairs and down stairs.

Poor Angulo he was desparate and lose on purpose, maybe he made a bet against himself.

Lampley failed tonight. The action warranted lung scarring yelps of commentary. Had he done his job appropriately, he would be getting oxygen at the venue's first aid office at this very moment.

Most of Kirklands going down happens in the early rounds... he is most susceptible in the first 2 rounds of so. After a while he gets his legs completely under him and can take shots better. He did so with Angulo and he did so with Joel who he walked through his big shots later in the fight.

On 24/7 right now it's saying how Nacho had been splitting his time between Angulo prepping for Kirkland and Marquez prepping for Pacquiao. (Marquez in the morning, Angulo in the afternoon)

Could it be that they both suffered from his divided attention? :think

I don't want to take credit away from Kirkland; he showed amazing resiliency, poise, brute force and killer instinct tonight...but Angulo did look a bit off and it's hard to tell how much of that was just from punching himself out early and/or Kirkland beating the hell out of him.
