A well renowned Ward nut hugger taking the moral high ground on Bute fighting at home so much, thats rich. What annoys Ward fans is that if Ward-Bute happens, from a business point of view which is of the greater importance in any negotiation, the fight will be in Montreal all day long. I think Bute beats Ward anywhere, i think he hurts him and possibly stops him in Montreal.

Problem is, we don't really know if Bute is dangerous or not.
As expected, nothing was learned from last night's fight. Probably just as planned by Bute;s handlers.

We do however know about Ward, and he's no joke. :yep

Bute is an absolutely lethal counter puncher. Why do you think Johnson was so tentative coming forward ?

    A. Ward has fought everyone.
    B. Bute has fought no one.

    "A" is what fighters do
    "B" is what bums do
Better to cheer for the fighter versus the bum

Don't hold your breath expecting Ward to fight Bute in Canada. Won't happen.
In fact, I think if Froch fights Bute, it will be in the UK. We'll get to see how Bute performs outside of his stomping grounds, Canada. :yep

So far, he's proven to be a lethal puncher against B level fighters and an old man. :yep

I'd like to see this settled in the ring next spring, Bute vs super six winner, likely to be Ward. If not, Bute vs Froch, one of those fights has to happen for the fans.
Bute looked good, but Glen Johnson is shot, his legs weren't there, I think Froch finished him, the guy is 42 and been in some wars, he's coming down in weight, he looked better then Toney did, but not a whole helluva lot. But no question, Bute is certainly top 3 SMW's.

If Ward is in this game to maximise all revenues from each fight then a Bute fight would be most definetely in Canada, make no mistake about that. If Ward trusts his ability he will fight Bute anywhere. If he comes out with the not getting a fair shake nonsense then you know he is wary of Bute. Eddie Hearn would have to put up some serious coin up to bring Bute to England to face Froch. Hearn has deep pockets for sure but can Froch fill a venue in England like Bute can in Canada, honestly, no. Winning the super six will only marginally raise his profile in the UK, unfortunately casual fans don't care much for Froch-Ward over here, its not on PPV. Bute brings more money simply by the mammoth gates he gets for his fights.

I'm not disputing Wards ability with you. He is world class. I just think Bute would present him with a set of problems that he hasn't encountered before.
